"normal porter flavors are present- chocolate, roasted malts; yet there’s something different, even citrusy. has a bit of a bite to it with some hop bitterness. as far as porters go, more carbonation than usual. good porter, not among the bests though."

Nov 21, 2008 12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Dark brown/black with ring head. Roasted chocolate, earth and wood aroma. Nicely roasted choclate and coffee with dark fruit and mild-medium lingering bitterness. Medium-light body and medium carbo. Pretty good. Needs to warm up a bit. I think my little beer fridge is getting too cold.

<b> Appearance: </b> Black with light hint of brown, lighter, creamy top. 3- <br /><b> Nose: </b> Good blend of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and hops. Faint clue of alcohol.<br /><b> Flavor/Palate :</b> Medium bodied , oily textured with dry ash , roastiness in mid end. A bit finishing tartness, hint o smoke, roasted barley. Good fairly complex, interesting brew.
