COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Otter Creek’s Twentieth Anniversary Ale is a homage to our long-running flagship… Copper Ale. With four times the malts and hops, the traditional flavor is a bigger, bolder and more complex ale that can be savored for years to come. It features a blend of six malts with German & American hops and is a celebration of Otter Creek’s 20 years of craft brewed ales in Middlebury, Vermont

Malty aroma with hints of bourbon. Amber color. Strong malt backbone only slightly cut by the hops. Finishes with a malt aftertaste.

Aroma if malt, barley and sour mash, pours a cloudy cooper color with a short lasting tan well lacedhead. Taste of malt and bourbon slightly sweet with a malt finish.

(Backlog) Bottle. Amber copper pour with no head. A very amped up amber ale, some normal malt and some off tones including metallic.

Bottle that I had in my beer cellar for 2 years. Poured dark amber with a small off-white head, no lace.. The malt aroma was caramel with light hops. The body was medium texture and creamy, with soft carbonation. There was a sweet flavor that I couldn’t quite place, but there was a very nice balance between the malts and hops. The alcohol was partly hidden by the malt. Very warming.

A nice copper ale that has a bold, complex malty taste. A bit chewy but would never guess its 12%

Bottle. Pours caramel brown with a average tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, fruit vanilla and raisins. Flavor was sweet and boozy with caramel, fruit, raisins, toffee, alcohol and had a hint of chocolate with a warming alcoholic finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a deep amber color with very minimal head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of dark fruit and caramel that is very sweet with noticeable alcohol. Very malty, caramel and hints of raisin type flavor. Alcohol taste is strong. Mild hop bitterness. Sticky syrupy mouthfeel with a medium body and light carbonation.

Bottle shared at a ChrisO Tasting - London. This one I brought from the USA. Pours lightly hazy, glowing ruby with a fine, white foam head. Big malt aroma, hints of caramel and berries. Hefty sweet flavor with lots of ripe and semi-dark fruits, caramel, some booze, mild earthy hops and pine. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warming finish with syrupy caramel and other toasted sugars, plenty of very hot alcohol, caramel, semi-dark and ripe fruits. Not perfectly balanced. It’s OK. Pretty punchy.
