Had this many years ago at the brewery during a lapse in rating, so itís cool to see it again. 12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. Decent head retention. Strong skunk and not much else from the brown bottle. Maybe some pale malts. I notice the best by date is back in April, which is funny since this has been on sale here for only about a week. The taste is pale malts, slightly buttery, and grassy hops. Thin bodied, lingering bitterness.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Metallic grainy malt aroma. Hazy yellow color. Dried out, fruity malt taste. Kind of wooden, but not in an aged kind of way. Recalls the Sierra Nevada Summerfest, specifically that itís a light lager from a heavy ale brewer.

The aroma is very faint yet consists of cereal, hay, and leaves. The appearance is a golden with hints of orange. The flavor is light in sweetness, lightly bitter, and somewhat strange.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
So basically, this beer does not look like much. It pours a pretty boring color, with a rather mediocre head. Then the aroma ainít much either. But the taste, I thought was rather good. Yeasty all up the front, with a few hoppy bites along the way. Overall, it is really damn refreshing after skiing for a while. Frankly, I think the 19th percentile rating is a severe under-rating (premium lager is of course not the best style out there, but this is one of the styleís better points).

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Basic gold color and a sweet malty aroma (like corn flakes). Decent flavor with a little bit of a harshness that swims upstream compared with the rest of the beer. Not as drinkable as some of the cheaper ones out there and not as complex as the higher end ones either. This is sort of all over the board.
