COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summertime requires a crisp, refreshing brew to beat the heat. If you can’t be soaking up the lakeside sun or cannonballing into your favorite swimming hole, then pop the top on our Vermont Lager and enjoy the next best thing.

Our Green Mountain homage to the classic European-style lager, we used German Pilsen malt and, in true Vermont fashion, a whole lot of Noble hops to give off a big hop aroma that makes this summer seasonal a real head-turner.

Bottle. Grainy and slightly grassy, with pale pils malt, a hint of sweetness, and some lingering grassy bitterness. Pretty good.

Had this many years ago at the brewery during a lapse in rating, so it’s cool to see it again. 12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. Decent head retention. Strong skunk and not much else from the brown bottle. Maybe some pale malts. I notice the best by date is back in April, which is funny since this has been on sale here for only about a week. The taste is pale malts, slightly buttery, and grassy hops. Thin bodied, lingering bitterness.

Metallic grainy malt aroma. Hazy yellow color. Dried out, fruity malt taste. Kind of wooden, but not in an aged kind of way. Recalls the Sierra Nevada Summerfest, specifically that it’s a light lager from a heavy ale brewer.

Light, malty, sweet. Hints of caramel and honey. Better than a macro, certainly more full flavor. Cereal like with a decent finish.

Tap. Pours clear, pale yellow/gold with creamy white head. Aroma is straw and wheat malts, corn, light grassy and herb notes, and faint orange peel. Flavor is dry malts, grassy bitterness, and some straw; dry finish. Light body and low carbonation.

Pours a pale clear gold yellow. Aroma of straw and flowers. The taste is lightly sweet to start and then quickly offset by floral bittering hops. A good version of a classic style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
