COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summertime requires a crisp, refreshing brew to beat the heat. If you can’t be soaking up the lakeside sun or cannonballing into your favorite swimming hole, then pop the top on our Vermont Lager and enjoy the next best thing.

Our Green Mountain homage to the classic European-style lager, we used German Pilsen malt and, in true Vermont fashion, a whole lot of Noble hops to give off a big hop aroma that makes this summer seasonal a real head-turner.

Hazy golden color with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with some hints of corn. Slight sweet flavor then dominated by corn and grain flavors.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained 05-Jan-06 in trade with hopscotch, thanks Eric!) Sweet, very grainy and husky, and mildly bitter, this isn’t all that pleasant a beer. While the nose shows that same sweet husky character, it’s also very oddly fruity for a lager, kind of a like grapes actually. Light-medium body is decent, without much carbonation or hops, it shows no verve or vitality on the palate. Medium-dark straw in color and slightly hazy, there are precious few carbonation bubbles rising through the beer. Plus, the medium-size off-white head settles to a film and then small ring fairly quickly, so this beer isn’t even visually attractive. Sampled for rating purposes, but after tasting this, I won’t be sampling it again.

One bottle in trade from JB. Poured a large quickly disapating head. Aroma was slightly sweet that seemed alittle off. Sweet malt flavor with a slight hops aftertaste. It was ok.

Yucky, yellow fizzy pour. Aroma of bread, lemon, funky skunky clunky crunk. Flavor was little more than piss in a bottle. Not even remotely good.

Dark yellow with fast fading head. Bread dough and malt in the aroma. Sweet tasting palate and neutral finish. Rather boring.

This bottled brew bottled on 1/26/05 batch 1664 poured a small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized mostly diminishing white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and yellow orange in color. Its aroma contained notes of malty corn . Its mouth feel is initially tingly with a lingering tingly palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained thin weak mildy astringent notes. A below average brew.

Pours a light gold color, small white head that dissappears almost immediately. Nose is light, sweet malt, a bit of caramel. Flavor follows the nose, hops are almost undetectable. Inoffensive is the best way I can describe this.

Another in a string of beers I had that was perfectly good but straighforward. Lacks the firm malt backbone of say a Victory all-malt lager. But, an easy drinker for those times you want a decent beer and can’t find a glass, or something for a crowd.

nothing special as lagers go. very straight forward, nice head, not overly flavorful but not a bud light either.

thanks to firemoose15, i would have thought this was a Helles based upon the sweet caramel and grass aroma, which were mirrored in the taste almost with nothing else. there was a little bit of hoppy bitterness at the very end, but i thought this was a nice beer with a very high drinkability value.
