dkachur (2319), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle from WIne Warehouse. Hazy dark orange pour with minimal head. Aroma of strong wheat and spice. Taste is much the same with more pronounced citrus notes. Smooth, but a little thin. mmmbeer (737), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 11, 2008 12 oz. bottle poured into tumbler- poured murky orange yellow, hihg-medium carbonation, very thin ring around the glass for a head. Aroma of coriander, clove, lemon, citrus, and wheat. Hits the mouth with a high-thin body, wheat is detectable, some citrus and coriander in the middle, finish has sweetness and acidity to it. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Aug 6, 2008 (Draught) Pours a cloudy pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, clove, orange peel, and coriander. Flavor of wheat, coriander, lemon zest, and orange peel with a watery mouthfeel. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 4, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Nate. Pours cloudy orange with rimming, foamy white head. Nose is sweet peach and citrus with some lemony notes and spice, coriander. Taste is citrus, orange and lemon with some spice, coriander and clove with a solid wheat malt feel. Nothing over the top. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Aug 4, 2008 From the bottle. A poor man’s Hoegaarden. What this beer lacks is the depth and character that I love about Wits from Belgian and well-made Americans. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 25, 2008 From bottle. Funky orange and yeast nose, with a bit of skunk and lemon rind, teaberry. Sweet. Cloudy orange-amber, with sandy-looking chunks in the bottom of the glass. Thin off-white head. Medium watery body with thin carbonation. Starts with orange and honey, light wheat malt, and a bit of acidity. Fairly simple throughout, with medium sweetness and a light chalky yeasty tang. Clean orange-flavored after though a little chalky. beastiefan2k (1592), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA Jul 7, 2008 100th rater . I love Wits and this is a safe man’s wit. Very mundane and quiet. Light coriander and a bit of yeasty sweetness, which is nice but a bit out of place in such a light and water-y wit. I have no problem drinking and offering this to someone new to the style but its a very mailed in/mainstream attempt at the style. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bottle from the mix pack. Very good aroma of spice with the smallest amount of hops. The coriander is very present almost too much but not quite, very delicious A very solid witbier. I would buy this again. I also like the bottle with the sailboats
