COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Special;
This new beer has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. It is mid brown in colour, with the wide range of malts used delivering a clean flavour, with hints of smoke and coffee, while the hops used impart a fruity, woody taste and pine-like, fruit aroma.

Cask, Spoons in Macc. Rarely a style I go for and this didn’t move me either. However, it is one of the better ones I’ve had recently. Darkish gold with creamy off white head. Aroma some malts and a touch of fruit and hops. Flavour has a hint of vanilla to it with a slightly dry finish with a bit of bitterness thrown in. Drunk a few of these, wasn’t much choice like but wasn’t unhappy with my afternoon.

Cask Handpump at the Penny Black JDW, Northwich 04/04/2011 Malt and hop aromas. Creamy head. Amber coloured hoppy and fruity with some citrus flavour. A hint of dryness in a very bitter malt finish.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Light amber with a moderate off white head and a light, fluffy texture. Clean crisp bitterness with some pine and a little fruitiness decent session bitter, if a bit on the thin and watery side.

Cask Conditioned handpump Red Well Wellingborough. An amber coloured beer with a whitish head and lace. A grassy beer. Fairly bitte. Pilsner like hoppy notes to me. A touch of berry in the nose and a pretty rich body fr its ABV.

The Felix Holt, Nuneaton. Misted amber with a fine white top speckling the glass. Vague pine and hop greenery aroma. Wet air grassy, hint of marzipan. Cream and dry roasted afters. Alright, but leaning into GK territory. Didn’t finish a third.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 5/04/2011. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of sweetish malts, with some berry fruit and touch of leafy hop. Flavour of cereal malts with a dryish finish. Ok.

Hand pulled at Wetherspoons (under the Central Library), Birmingham. Looks OK, smells alright I suppose. Flavours: some choc threshed with leaf, hops and rainwater. Sweet bitter finish. Not exciting, but reasonable for abv.
