3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, 500ml from Beer of Europe, Norfolk. Hazed amber with white head. Sweet, caramel, toffee malting, quite heavy on the palate, with an over ripe strawberry fruitiness, not as sharp as you would expect an IPA to be. Some aromatic type hops, they struggle a little with the sweet malts, but quite drinkable all the same.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
16.9 oz bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a pretty standard amber IPA amber. Small white head with little retention and little lacing. Aroma it of a nice bitter hoppiness, but it’s also a bit watery and faint. Is there lemon in this? Bitter beginning ends with the same sensation as sucking on a lemonhead. This could use some more hops, but the maltiness is nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle shared by Tom. Clear yellow/amber colored body. Sharp honey pine nose. Dry, crisp, oily, properly bitter, a bit too syrupy and sweet, but clean and sharp, which is nice. Some tea leaves and thyme (and even some celery/vegetal/fuel thing) tasted in the finish takes a bit away from what otherwise is a decent beer that I could enjoy drinking great quantities of.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the Hopsnobbery Collective tasting on 12/10/08: The beer is a hazy light amber color with a wispy off-white head that disappears quickly. Thin top ring of lacing with spots under. Aroma of hops and peat malt. Medium body with a subdued floral hops character, and flavors of earthy malt and pine. Kind of reminded me of Kelpie with more hops. The finish is mildly bitter and creamy with a short fruity hops aftertaste. Just average overall.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber body with a thin off white quickly diminishing head. Aromatics include a strong hop nose, citrus, pine and floral hoppiness. A big citrus start with a stronger lightly fragrant floral nose then light dry earthy bitterness. Citrus and a light etoh to finish. Good brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 500 ml bottle. Pours dark orangeish, copper color with a sticky, slightly off-white medium thick head that leaves a decent bit of lacing. Minty aroma with some raw cake mix thrown in there. Delectable bitterness with some faint citrus notes, some cookie dough and a bit of spearmint. Mouthfeel is of the appropriate thickness and carbonation for the style. Very enjoyable.
