illinismitty (1456), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 4, 2008 Draft at Otto’s with Kmweaver. Pours deep brown/black with an extremely retentive light brown head. Faint aroma of dark roast. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Flavor is plummy with dark roast and a balancing bitterness. Very Guinness like, but with more body, but less bitterness and dryness. Decent. kmweaver (2125), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Sep 4, 2008 Nitro @ Otto’s. Pours a very dark, chocolate-black color; significant, creamy light-tan head with perfect retention and lacing that coats the glass; great pour. Solid amounts of dark chocolate, roasted malts, and basic toastiness in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation; roasted malts and plenty of bitter chocolate; very drinkable, creamy, excellent stout. Medium finish: bitter chocolate, roasted malts, and some dry, crackery / toasty malts. Sammy (3141), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2008 Enjoyed on nitro-tap at the brewpub. Aroma of roast and licorice. Black with a thick creamy head. The taste is nitro malt, rast, and lots of burnt charred roast. Thick lacing. Creamy mouthfeel, there is sourness well offset by the malting. It’s drinkable. iride15 (117), Sanford, Florida, USA Mar 25, 2008 On tap. Chocolate, roast aroma. Pours a pitch black, burgundy rim and a tan head. Good body and very drinkable for a stout. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA Feb 2, 2008 A dry Irish stout indistinguishable from Guinness. Nicely done. Unremarkable.
