Hopheads rejoice! This strong IPA takes the style to a new level. It’s a big Imperial IPA packed with Nugget, Palisade, and Amarillo hops. Previously 8.2%.

2012-08-17. Crisp dark orange, modest beige head. 3+ Lovely hop aroma, nice citrus character with leafy green notes. 7+ Nice hoppy flavour, citrus melange, tangerines, good amount of bitterness throughout, modest leafy green hop accents. 7+ Smooth average bodied palate, starting to lose some carbonation in the growler but not significantly so. Very good! Growler, Campground Brewdown 2012

What appears to be a super fresh bottle directly from the brewery courtesy of my boy C.D. Aroma is an earthy floral hop that goes from alcoholic flower petals to damp morning dew on the earth. Really great smallish carbonation lifts away an astringent bitterness that would otherwise be overwhelming. There is a fruitiness here that is reminiscent of unripened mango in the middle and finishes with a lemon/lime twist of acidic bitterness. Would be great with just a touch of sweetness somewhere. A nice beer, glad I got to try it. Thanks Otto’s. 2011 22oz.

12oz bottle, pours amber small head, little lacing throughout the drink. Strong hoppy flavor, the imperial taste does sneak in there. Well-balanced, complexity of hops and malts. Hoppy start, medium to full bodied, sweet hoppy impy finish. Good brew.

(bottle - 22 oz) Slightly hazy gold pour with a thin layer of white foam. Big hoppy and floral aroma. Lots of caramel notes as well. Flavor starts off with a big and bitter hop bite. Very dry and cloying near the middle but it actually balances out well with the heavy and peppery hops. Nice and dry through the middle and into the finish. Really nicely balanced.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Gabe. Cheers Gabe! It pours a nice amber color with a medium, frothy off white head. The nose is a mix of pineapple and tropical fruit. All hops, all the time. The flavor is a combination of those tropical fruit notes from the hops and a nice sweetness from the malt side. It leans towards the bitter side, as it should. It reminds me of a strong Two Hearted with a little more pine and lingering bitterness. Good brew for sure.
