3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
What appears to be a super fresh bottle directly from the brewery courtesy of my boy C.D. Aroma is an earthy floral hop that goes from alcoholic flower petals to damp morning dew on the earth. Really great smallish carbonation lifts away an astringent bitterness that would otherwise be overwhelming. There is a fruitiness here that is reminiscent of unripened mango in the middle and finishes with a lemon/lime twist of acidic bitterness. Would be great with just a touch of sweetness somewhere. A nice beer, glad I got to try it. Thanks Otto’s. 2011 22oz.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle, pours amber small head, little lacing throughout the drink. Strong hoppy flavor, the imperial taste does sneak in there. Well-balanced, complexity of hops and malts. Hoppy start, medium to full bodied, sweet hoppy impy finish. Good brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(bottle - 22 oz) Slightly hazy gold pour with a thin layer of white foam. Big hoppy and floral aroma. Lots of caramel notes as well. Flavor starts off with a big and bitter hop bite. Very dry and cloying near the middle but it actually balances out well with the heavy and peppery hops. Nice and dry through the middle and into the finish. Really nicely balanced.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Gabe. Cheers Gabe! It pours a nice amber color with a medium, frothy off white head. The nose is a mix of pineapple and tropical fruit. All hops, all the time. The flavor is a combination of those tropical fruit notes from the hops and a nice sweetness from the malt side. It leans towards the bitter side, as it should. It reminds me of a strong Two Hearted with a little more pine and lingering bitterness. Good brew for sure.

12 oz, bottle from Wegman’s Williamsport, thanks MisterP. This pours clear amber with a white head. The aroma is light and sweet. It tastes light and smooth with not much bitterness but more sweetness from hops.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Pours a hazy copper-orange color with a finger of frothy off-white head atop. The head fades slowly down and leaves behind some nice lacing in the process.
S - Strongest aroma is from the citrus hops. There are also some piney hops and some sweet malt in the background. Overall, not that aromatic.
T - Starts off with some strong citrus flavors with a mix of grapefruit and pineapple flavor. Through the middle, some sweet malts and pine hops and bitterness come through. The finish is a mix of piney hop bitterness and just a bit of sweet malt that lingers.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth and lively. The pine hops leave a bit of a resiny feeling behind.
D - Very drinkable. The alcohol is well hidden for a fairly strong 9.6% abv. The nose is a bit weak but the flavors do not disappoint.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz bottle poured into a Russian River tulip.
AROMA: Bready malt, faint hops and alcohol.
APPEARANCE: Hazy copper color with some off white head the dissipates into a ring round the glass and bit of skim.
TASTE: Sweet malty taste at first, then hop bitterness, finishes with malt and hop balance. This is really balanced!
PALATE: Medium bodied with creamy texture. Average carbonation.
OVERALL: I acquired this as an extra in a trade. Quite a treat! If you like balanced double IPAs, this would be a good one to try.

Reviewed from notes.
Pours a moderate amber color with an off white head. The nose brings a good dose of grapefruit and citrus hops. Maybe a hint of pine. The taste isn’t quite as hop forward and shows a bit of malt. A touch of alcohol as well. The feel is really nice and bitter with a really good finish. Drinks well and is a nice DIPA all around.
Serving type: on-tap

This, not meaning to be redundant, is a big frigging beer. Floral notes on the nose. Pours a dark amber color with a thin white head. Lots of different hop sensations on the tongue. Doesn’t easily wash away with water. Nice!
