Harrisburg Brewers Fest - Hazy amber with a nice head. Yeasty aroma with lots of citrus. Hop dominated flavor with very little apparent alcohol, except in the swallow. Medium bodied, pretty good!

Lightly hazy orange-amber body, medium sized white head and soapy lacing. Grapefruit, orange zest, pine and other citric notes are prominent as well as a moderately sweet pale malt base and some booze. Medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation, assertive bitterenss, and a big slightly sweet finish.

Clearly one of the best beers for the bang. Also clearly better on draught. If you must drink from the bottle, be sure to pour into a snifter or other similar large-rimmed glass to get the full-on effect. This continues to be one of the brewery’s best sellers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance - a nice amber/copper color with a around a 1/2 inch head which persisted upon pouring.
Smell - Initially hit with citrus hop followed shortly by piney which then overwhelms the nose.
Taste - A little more subtle then would be expected in hop flavor then would be expected for the strength of the brew, but a nice balance of hop and malt makes it easy drinking.
Mouthfeel - Medium carbonation again lends to easy drinkable. The body is rather medium in demeanor - thick enough to slow you down for the high abv.
Overall - A good brew worth the experience, although a more I would typically choose an IPA with a bit more hoppiness to match the high abv of the beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours great with a nice amber color to it, a one finger off white head, and decent lacing on the glass. The smell is decent with the beer had a resin, piney nose. The beer tastes decent with a great smooth piney flavor followed by a smooth mild malty taste. The mouthfeel is great with a nice dry, mildly bitterness and the beer is well carbonated. Overall, a decent Double IPA with a nice smooth blend to it, recommended.

The Double D is softly carbonated. The color is of a clear medium amber with a thin, foamy, and sticky head that hugs my glass. The aroma is of sweet carmel malts, floral hops, weak pine, and citrus notes. As for the flavor its malty, sweet, medium bitterness, and of citrus bittering hops. The finish is balanced and leaves a good mouth feel with a nice bitter bite at the end. For the style my palate was not tarnished as much as it could have been. Overall this beverage was enjoyable.
