Commercial Description:
Jolly Roger himself smoked the malt for this Imperial Stout. This is a massive stout with a huge roasted maltiness and complex smoky, chocolate flavors coming through strong thanks to the gentle handpump and correct cellar temperature.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of coffee and roasted malt as well as a light touch of alcohol, that leaves a slight burn in the throat.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sk8viking. Poors completely black and opaque with a light brown head. Concentrated almost vinous aroma of roasted malts and dried fruit. Full-bodied with plenty of roastiness, accents of prunes and sweet licorice. Warming alcohol in the finish that also is low in bitterness. A pleasant one. 021107

Bottled, thanks kmweaver(?) - sorry my beer stash is messed up... Very black, opaque, small pale brown head. Aroma of chocolate and licorice. Sweet, dense and fruity with full body and thick viscous mouthfeel. Chewy and solid with tar and licorice, molasses and tobacco. Salty tarry finish. All powerful and very correct.

22 fl oz bottle, thanks to sk8viking. Pours deep brown to black with a diminished light brown head. Chocolate, mild roasted malt and a bit of liqourice in the aroma. Flavour is dry roasted malt, no sweetness but a dry liqourice flavour. Ends quite dry with no bitterness, just more of the same dry persisting liqourice.
