3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Capones. Poured a deeper golden color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of floral green hops, pine, and citrus. Nice and hoppy and on the aromas alone, I would have pegged this as an IPA. Tastes of citrus, floral, and light caramel. A very nice surprise.

Deep amber pour with a thin tan head. The nose is really soft and lovely. Fresh and fairly fruity. A little bit of light citrus. Pale malt and a nice balanced citrus character. A bit of spice mixed in with the tropical fruit character.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Decent American style pale, brought back the bottle from the brewpub. C-hop aroma and in taste. A bit drying and a cut under average mouthfeel. Some orangey taste. Most drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 1, 2009 Draught at the brewery. Slightly cloudy burnt orange colored body, with a tan soft formed head. Mostly smooth up front, with some creamy dough and yeast flavors. Slightly sweet pineapple and peach hop flavors, though not strong, and not approaching the level of IPA. Mild, smooth palate, with a decent APA-to-style hop bitterness. Overall it’s a tasty pale ale, about par for the style, if not a little light as far as the depth of flavor goes. Has a bit of a dusty malt and burnt fruit nose when warmed slightly. Drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brew pub. Attractive gingery colour. Plenty of citric hop in the aroma, with some grassy touches. I would have thought there were US hops involved if I hadn’t known the ingredients. Clean, crisp and smooth. Its not easy to make a refreshing and zippy beer out of Fuggles and Goldings, but they have certainly succeeded in doing so with this one. Very accomplished.
