TheCheeseMan (515), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Nov 11, 2007 Thanks Bobo. Poured an absoltely crystalline amber color. Aroma is toasted malt and some citrus hoppiness. Flavor is a bit more forward than the aroma indicates. Great toasted malt flavor, there is a nice hoppy bitterness on the finish. Great with my steak.
JB175 (1420), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 18, 2008 Orange color with a bright aroma of citrus hops and some mild malt. Flavor is dominated by citrusy "C" hops that contribute a nice sweetness with malt that doesn;t overwhelm. Best new APA I’ve had in awhile. CapnJazz (20), Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 6, 2008 22 oz bottle from the brewery. Assertive hop presence, nice pine aromas coming through. Not as bold as the DD. Flavor is not really an explosion of hops but is nicely balanced and refreshing. Malts are pretty pronounced in this one, giving it that balance from the hops. michael-pollack (1592), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2008 22oz. Bottle: Aroma of citrus and grapefruit hops, caramel and toasted malts, as well as some pine. Poured amber in color with a small, rocky, off-white head that lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tasted of citrus, hops, caramel malts, pine, grapefruit, and some pine. Medium body. Smooth and well balanced with a slick texture. Average carbonation. Malty, sweet, hop finish. Sammy (3240), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 6, 2008 Decent American style pale, brought back the bottle from the brewpub. C-hop aroma and in taste. A bit drying and a cut under average mouthfeel. Some orangey taste. Most drinkable. HogTownHarry (3361), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 29, 2008 Bottle (22oz). via trade with sirpsycho. Found this little beauty in the fridge - I love surprises! Poured very cloudy deep amber with an average lasting foamy light tan head. Lush aroma - very full bodied; caramel cereal malt and pungent soft floral bitterness, some pine duff and cedar. The taste - follows right on - very cereal-malty, dryer than I expected, just the right pine/floral bitterness to balance the citrus juicy malt .... fairly thick-bodied, delicately astringent, lightly carbonated, the bitterness and fruity/citrus malt fade off the palate at the same (moderate) pace and leave a dry, slightly floral aftertaste. Wow, this was pretty solid, considering I traded for it about 10 months ago!!!
