An American pale ale brewed with Centennial hops and hopbacked with Cascade, it's a real refresher that has a spicy, citrus aroma and a slightly nutty malt flavor.

22 oz .Bottle from the State College brew pub. A milder and pleasant pale ale with a light hoppy feel. A slightly cloudy burnt orange colored body, with a tan soft formed head. Mostly smooth up front, with some creamy dough and yeast flavors. Slightly sweet pineapple and peach hop flavors, though not strong, and not approaching the level of IPA. Mild, smooth palate, with a decent APA-to-style hop bitterness. This is one of my wife’s favorite beers.

Transfer from BA reviewed on 2-15-12 - Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – Pours a nice golden color with not too much head. There is a moderate amount of lacing upon the quick dissipation of the head. Smell – Carmel malt is the most prevalent. While not very potent, there is a light amount of pine and citrus hop mixed in. Taste – A very nice malt backbone with a slight roasted barley flavor which is lightly sweetened by a bit of toffee flavor. The lighter hop flavor then comes into play toward the middle and the end. Mainly pine and earthy in nature, it leaves a nice finish to the taste. Mouthfeel – A little thinner then would be desired with an average level of carbonation. Pretty standard for the type of brew. Overall – Not bad, but noting too special. Easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours a darker amber orange color with very little head. Swirling generates a bone white head. Mild citrus aroma. Decent. Citrus like flavor upfront but not overly strong. Almost has an almond like nut flavor in the middle. Mild bitterness in the end.

Bottle as a recent extra. Pour has a rich orange color with a coating of off white head that hung on rather well. Aroma has citrus, sweet soap, mild caramel malt, and some earth. Mouth feel is light and there is lots of high side carbonation. Flavor has a light malted base, citrus, some pine, and faint bitterness into the finish. It is a light weight but the hop flavors come across well.

The appearance is a nice orangish, copper color to it with a nice head and some lacing on the glass. It is a very well carbonated beer. The smell had a nice malty aroma to it with some hints of citrus to it and hops. The taste is decent with a good bitter hop taste and a nice malty finish which is well balanced. The mouthfeel was a little disappointing with a mildly bitterness to it that lingers but nothing else. Overall, a decent APA from a brewer I had previously been to and wished I worked closer to. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this but wouldn’t turn it down either.

Not much in appearance here. Clear amber in color and there is little to no head. The flavor is of weak carmel malts, bittering hops, bread like grains, and a slight dry finish. Overall its a descent brew.

Pours a clear orange. With a light tan head. Aroma of light sweet malt offset by a light citrusy hop offset. Well balanced. Didn't have high expectation. But this is actually very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
