COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A malty rich lager brewed in the style of German fest beers. Like the Fall season, red and juicy best describes this beer.

Had at a wedding up in state college. Poured a clear darker brown color with nice froathy tan head. Aroma is a bit nutty and malty, slightly sweet. Flavor is malty grains and some slight earthy hoppiness. Overall, not bad.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2012 On tap at the brewery. Aroma is a dirty, plain malt. Wet grains, dusty barn. Pours a clear copper, little head. Flavor is a real, bland, malt. Not nearly enough Munich in this grain bill. It tastes like a copper-colored bland lager. Some malt, not so much hop, and a little bit of that obsequious malt hop. No vinous. After a half a pint a real quality of dirty sock shines through and of uncleaned vegetables. No real off flavors, just a poor malt bill and nothing to get excited about. Clean and bland. Not nearly enough Munich flavor for me.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2009 Draft at the brewery. Clear bright candy orange color, small head. Nose is light corn, husky grains, wet grass or wet hair. Not really good to begin with. Flavor is simiilar - very plain, very light, very pallid - sweet apple, pear and caramel. Simple, but made well.

Draft at Uncle Alberts... Poured a copper color with a small, off-white bubbly, and sticky head and left light lacing on the glass. Both the aroma and taste were very malty, with just a touch of hops. Strong nutty, and caramel malt taste.

A bit astrigent and tannic nose (pine?). Bit of weak hops aroma. Nice off-white foamy head that laced atop caramel red beer. Medium fizzines, low-medium watery body. A nice malty flavor with low sweetness and good level of hops. Nutty/bitter finish, like I had just eaten a handful of pecans. Finish is good but could have used more maltiness.
