COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yeast from a famous Belgian brewery, bittered with Northern Brewer hops and finished with Simcoe hops. All this combined created our newest Otto’s Seasonal Beer “Pallet Jack Pale Ale”.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Belgian style pale ale. The Belgian yeast is evident along with some sugary sweetness, but not cloying. Orange rind in the aroma and flavor. Hazy glowing yellow with thin white head. Dig it.

Undated bottle, slow pour into Duvel tulip glass. Cloudy apricot-orange, rather opaque hue topped by thin off-white tinted head. Slightly bitter but tame Belgain [yeast] smell. Lacing minimal at most. Tastes of sweet grass and lightly spiced citrus fruits; well carbonated. Lasting semi-sour aftertaste. This is a nice entry-level Begian Ale that you don’t need to sip.

Draft in Erie, PA. Pours murky dark gold with a thin, fizzy white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like lemon, light herbs and spices, doughy grains. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like lemon, musk, herbs, and spices.

Tap. Pours hazy gold with creamy white head. Aroma is fresh citrus, cereal and cracker malts, light floral notes, and faint candy sugar. Flavor is dry malts, grassy hop bitterness, some citrus esters, and light sweetness; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Transfer from BA review on 2-26-12 - Served on-tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a beautiful golden orange color with a bit of haze. The head served on the beer is light and fades very fast, leaving only the slightest bit of lacing. Smell – The nose is very light. There was a very light citrus hop aroma mixed with some floral in the beginning. This faded fast and gave way to a very mild roasted malt aroma with a light yeasty smell. Very light. Taste – A bitter hoppiness of grapefruit and some earthy flavors as well as roasted malt flavor are most pertinent up front. There are some light yeast cake flavors throughout the taste profile; light but ever present. Toward the middle of the taste, it sweetens a bit, with some orange citrus and a very light tropical fruit flavor. Overall these sweeter flavors are rather light in comparison to the parent bitter taste. Mouthfeel – Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Nothing special, but not bad either. Just normal. Overall – This was an alright beer although a bit more dry then I was expecting.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky apricot color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with a bit of tropical fruit, vague fruity hops and cracker. The flavor was thin, watery and weak with a bit of tropical fruits and vague fruity hops. Medium length tangy tropical fruit finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow gold body body under a one finger fizzy white head. The nose is dry crackery and bready malt under a fairly light but bright Simcoe hoppiness. The flavor is really tropical from the hops, lots of passionfruit and mango. Light dry and clean pale malt base that stays nicely in the background letting the hops do their thing. Light bodied and very easy drinking with soft gentle carbonation. Really nice Simcoe Pale Ale.

Bottle. Poured a nice white head that left nice lacing. Big floral hops aroma with some citrus. Lots O citrus in the flavor with some yeast and a slight bitterness at the end. Thanks for the trade JB.

Mmm, thought I was done with Otto’s when my Daughter moved from State College, but in Erie last weekend picked up this 6. Smells like a pine forest, in your face, mmm. Slight yeasty character along with citrus in the palate, almost an APA.. Interesting. Good.

Very pale yellow, white head. This shit is awesome. Loaded with floral hops, a hint of honey, earthy bitter hops are present but not overwhelming. Nice!
