American red ale. Very malty and crisp. It has all the fun without the AMD (Acid Mine Damage)! Brewed with Palisade for the bittering and late hopped with Liberty.

Bottle… O-Town Christmas Gathering ‘07… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Sweet, malty nose imparts notes of toffee, toasted nuts and spicy hops with restrained acidity. Medium-bodied and watery with mostly flat carbonation. Leans pretty heavily onto the sweet side of balance. Very lightly acidic. Lengthy, sweet, chocolaty and then astringent, dry finish. This one’s all over the place, but enjoyable nonetheless. Much thanks to jayg for sharing!

Bomber bought at the brewpub. Pours a good creamy caramel coloured head on a beige body. Appropriate carbonation. C-type hop smell dominates, its Liberty and Northern. Easy drinking, its a good balance with a respectable hop presence and a bit of toasted malt.

Ruddy amber pour. The nose is softly malt with a kiss of light fruity sweetness. A touch of light caramel and a nice fruitiness. Amber malts with a little bit of crystal that kind of accentuates the fruity hoppiness. Mostly cascades in here, but why mess with a good thing?
