3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Sweet, malty nose imparts notes of toffee, toasted nuts and spicy hops with restrained acidity. Medium-bodied and watery with mostly flat carbonation. Leans pretty heavily onto the sweet side of balance. Very lightly acidic. Lengthy, sweet, chocolaty and then astringent, dry finish. One of the better red ales that I have ever had.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours nicely with a decent dark reddish hue to it, has minimal lacing a thing white/reddish head. The smell is very noticably caramel with some mild earthly malt scent on the back end. The taste is a decent caramel taste up front with a blended malty, mildly bitter taste on the back end, but it gives away to the caramel sweetness eventually. The mouthfeel is somewhat dry, well carbonated beer feeling. Overall, this is a decent red ale from a regional microbrewery. Id expect more from someone who distributes more but this holds its own.

I like my red ale much more hoppy. This beer seems to be all about the malt. Not bad, but just not what I wanted it to be. Nose is a musty and grainy. Crisp mouth feel is nice though.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark ruby red. Aroma of cherry, malt and leather. Taste is malty then nutty with an earthy peppery bitterness that cuts through the sweet. Very well balanced.

Orange-red with an off-white head. The aroma is full of floral notes with some toffee. The flavor is similar with a lot of floral hop character, as well as some toffee and caramel. Fairly sweet. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

22 oz bottle. Pours amber with short lived white head and soda-like carbonation. Aroma is of noble hops, caramel malt and cherry. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Taste is very balanced and similar to aroma. Finish is long and spicy. Tasty, nicely balanced red.

Nice cooper color. A red ale that is quaffable at 5%. It is described all the fun without and. We had to ask-acid mine drainage.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
An average amber ale. Got this dusty bottle from House of 1000 Beers so it’s possible this bottle was far from fresh. Aroma was decent. Ginger, grass and caramel. Pour was a nice light brown/red with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was a little thin. This tasted like a macro-attempt at the style (Pete’s Wicked Red, etc). Not bad and very drinkable, just not very full or big. Roasted malt and burnt caramel are present, but very weak. Very unoffensive and would do well as a stepping stone beer. Nice carbonation.
