A classic American IPA with lots of floral punch and assertive hop presence. Hopped with Nugget, Palisade and Amarillo colored to a reddish hue thanks to Munich and Aromatic malts.

12 oz pour, copper hue with creamy tan head, decent lacing, somewhat light but to be expected from the %, some pine, minimal citrus, aight

Pours muddled copper orange with a one finger off white head with decent lacing. Aroma is of floral hops, sweet malts, light citrus, light pine, grassy hops, and caramel. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a decently tasty east coast IPA that might be a tad too sweet.

Darker amber colored body, medium sized off-white head, soapy lacing. Caramel and biscuity notes, mellow citrus, floral, and piney hop character. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, semi-sweet throughout, muddled finish.

Very nice IPA. Pretty copper color that is clear and laces well. Nose is very floral and taste follows through with nice hops and a little bitterness lingering.

Bottle. Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is full citrus, hops. Taste is completely different. Not so hoppy and not citrusy. Didn’t really liked the taste in fact.

Aggressively hopped, but more on the British IPA spectrum rather than the juicy west coast iteration.

Decent but typical IPA. Aroma was very floral. Rose petals, earth and fresh cut grass. Pour was a light bubbly gold with a one finger white head. Taste was not very hoppy, but a nice refreshing beer. Light malt and earthy hops that does not linger. Would be a good lawnmower beer. Mild carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Graeme. Pours a cloudy orange copper with no head. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouth with nice bitterness, grapefruit, and resin. Decent.

DATE REVIEWED: August 7, 2014... GLASSWARE: Hop Devil nonick... OCCASION: enjoying a nice haul from our State College weekend...APPEARANCE: clear, red amber body that streams a steady effervescence; dirty white head settles from a solid finger to a creamy resilience flaring with sunbursts of lacing--great to look at... AROMA: brilliant botanical array of lilac, carnations and grass; secondary scents of spices such as allspice and nutmeg--invitingly complex... PALATE: mellow, medium-bodied and drinkably relaxed; a thin yet consistent aftertaste holds to the back of the throat; creamy, if anything... TASTE: a solidly established pale ale, though not big enough for the India moniker--well-rounded, perhaps, by the soft, sweet malts that balance every sip; the malts--creamy, buttery--escort blunted hops along the journey, with a sessionable invitation... OVERALL: although a pleasant sipping beer, I find it tough to call this IPA anything beyond above average, as so many breweries are setting thee bar so high in this style...still, tough to slam a beer that is aesthetically pleasing and delivers on its promise with enough balance to convince--albeit temporarily--that the overhopped IPA is not the way to go ....
