1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Beerathon (590) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Did not care much for this beer. Very plain. Nothing really special going on with the malts, hops, or any spices. Boring. No need to ever have again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - FEB 19, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Pours deep brownish amber with thin beige head. the aroma is mild and fruity with melon, an odd crystal malt touch, and some cotton candy. The flavor is herbal hops, light caramel sweetness, and a touch of grainy sourness. Leafy sweetness comes out for the finish. Not really my thing, but it’s definitely smooth drinkin.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 kmweaver (3143) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - JAN 1, 2008
Draft @ Otto’s. Pours a clear, orange-amber color; light tan head with fine-bubbled lacing. A bit of caramelized sugar in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel: chewy candy sugar and dried red fruits; the slightest amount of weight in the mouth; fruity malt-forwardness and very drinkable. Medium, sugar and dried fruit in the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 auerbrau (2952) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - DEC 14, 2007
On tap at the brewpub. Aroma is a pale glow of lemony sugars and dusty grains. Pours a clear amber, with a thin rim of off-white. Flavor is a middle dense sugar, with edges of caramel, tanginess and palpable grain husk bitterness. Esters and astringency. I appreciate the malt body, but it gets cut by off bitterness, a curt dry note, and not really any balancing hops. Floorlike. Not digging this.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - AUG 19, 2007
On tap at the brewpub on 4/9/07: Pours a transparent orange bronze with a thin, frothy covering of white head. Aroma of slightly toasty and sweet Vienna malt with a touch of Hallertau hops. Sweet, caramely malty body has a nice touch of toasted grain toward a thinner, bittersweet finish. A pretty nice Vienna.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 3fourths (6943) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 14, 2007
UPDATED: APR 1, 2009 Draft at the brewpub, Jan 2007 version. Golden fire color, clear. Nose of apples, cranberries and honey. Palate is noticeably thin, and flavor is more faint than expected, but still has a solid biscuit malt, honey and apple flavor. Fairly good, but not exactly what I like in Vienna lager.
