Countbeer (2852) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle: Medium to bigger sized, quickly shaping into a modest medium sized fluffy white head that with time changes into a thcik sticky even fluffy lacing. This all happens on top of a hazy yellow colored beer. Aromas of grains, flowers, malts, fruits, soap, citrus and porridge. Flavours of fruit, hops, malts, yeast, barleys, paper, herbs, cream, floral, light bitter and some wheat. Aftertaste is malty, paper, light bitter, herbal and floral. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture. Nice beer, yeast fruity and pretty balanced but it’s a bit basic and there’s some chuncks on the bottom which end in your mouth like porridge pieces, not bad though.

33 cl. bottle @ home. BBF 06/2013 – picked this one up @ Williems because it was something lambic-related, sadly this is apparently brewed by Huyge. Setting expectations to low. Lightly hazy, amber appearance with a creamy, quickly vanishing white head. Nose is mono, light soap, wheat, yeast, cheap bread and cheap sugar,… Taste odd candy sugar, bread, light rye bitter, hint metallic, medicinal spices, something odd and industrial, titanium, hint of booze, odd for the ABV, odd cough syrup bitterness,… Boddy is a touch too light, way too high, juiced up carb. Not that bad, not that good, bit hard to drink,… Industrial whatever fair as usual by this brewery whilst Oud Beersel still has certainly quite some soul.

First whiff of aroma hints at a witbier, slightly sour. Color is between pils gold and amber, and slightly murky. This airy head. Taste of apples, cider, almonds, and slightly sour. I’m imagining a sour ale mixed with a witbier, that’s what this beer tastes like...

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden colour, big airy white head. Aroma of sweet ripe fruits, yeast, light bready malts. Flavour is ripe fruits, light malty, hint of spice, yeast, light bitter finish. Light-bodied. OK, simple, but way over-carbonated.

Almost clear gold beer, tidy white head. Crisp palate, quite airy. A little raw pale malt. Super mild citrus. Minerally finish. Drinkable but standard stuff.

Swaroga (788) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 8, 2013
33cl bottle. Clear and golden liquid with bubbly , high head. Nose : fresh citrus aromas , bread , pepper. Sip : water like density, good carbonation. Refreshing dry taste, spicy pepper. Pils like bitter aftertaste. Quite tasty for a pils, not that complex for anything else.

Lovely golden colour. Aroma ... questionable .... slight skunk?? Flavours of toasted maize and polenta, then hay, then a little farmyard?? Ever such a small citrus ending.

Svesse (5195) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 9, 2012
(Bottle, Delirium Café, Brussels, 21 Oct 2012) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, grain, mild aromas of fruit and grassy hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, cereal, hay and a mild, grassy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Decent but hardly exciting.
