330 fromBottle Barn. Pours a particulate dark gold with a foamy 4-finger near-white head. A fruity, nigh melon, aroma. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. The flavor suggests a bit of bog myrtle. Though lately I am quite suggestable on that flavor. It definitely has yeast/spice and some mildly peppery hop. Very nice, very tripel, and nearly dry. It is a really good ale.

Intressant och lite annorlunda trippel. Syrlig och kryddig, nästan lite pepprig. Inte så söt och rund och lite väl kort eftersamk.

Decent tripel. This beer is a light yellowish orange with a foamy white head. Good lacing. The aroma is Belgian yeast, light malt and an unfortunate solvent note. The flavor is rather sweet and sorta simple. It’s just a lot of light malt and not enough earthy depth from the yeast. There’s some booze in there, too. It’s not a bad beer at all but just above average for a tripel. Mouthfeel is effervescent. It’s always nice to try a new Belgian.

750, corked and baled. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with a dense and creamy white head that really sticks around. Dense sheets of attractive lace on the side of the glass. Sticky palm sugar and green apples on the nose. Creamy medium body with tons of lively carb. Toast, caramel, green apples, and a bit of dust on the mid-palate. Long sticky sweet apple pie finish. Solid tripel, but lacking in complexity, especially given the ABV.

This beer has lots of great spice aroma and flavour with an underlying sweetness on the palate. It in no way comes across as 9.%ABV, but that’s what it is, very drinkable and enjoyable. This beer has changed my opinion a bit about Belgian tripels, I think the malt sweetness makes it seem more drinkable to me.

Bottle 33cl. A golden beer with huge white head. Very near to Duvel but more sweet and less astringent. Aroma is on wheat malt and hops, bit spicy. Body is medium to hight, not bad, quite alcoholic.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
A bottle; aged and poured at home. Very sour aroma. Also vegetables. Suggest PMT. The sediment is quite heavy and lumpy. Gashed out a couple of times. The taste is very spicey; overtly so, pears, caramel and sharp zest peel or something. Just generally nothing special. I don’t like pears and I’m not very fond of this. I think it is a little shot and this rating probably is unfair. Howeveer their kriek beer is outstanding.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
33cl bottle. Gold color with a lasting white head. Bright fruity aroma with some strawberry, honey, and rubbery alcohol. Sweet and boozy with some pale bready malt, honey, and warming alcohol flavors. Substantial body that comes off as a little chewy. Well carbonated. Hot, a touch fusely, and just too sweet.
