Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks beerandbeyond. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, fruity esters, some spiciness and a bit of alcohol. Sweetish flavor, spicy, with fruity esters and some alcohol. Medium-bodied.

Bottle (330 ml). Slightly hazy golden with a medium off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, alcohol, a touch of spices and citrus zest. Taste is more citrusy than the aroma (orange zest) with yeast, alcohol and some spices. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Warming finish. A tad too "hot" for a Tripel, but it’s not bad at all. Better than the ratings suggest.

12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. pours a cloudy golden color, with the typical huge, fluffy Belgian head leaving good lacing. Nose is cloves and bananas. Taste is malt and bananas, with little of the typical sweetness. Mouth feel is a little thin for the style. Not unpleasant, but not up to the competition.

Bottle at home, from Beermerchants.com, 17/05/14. Clear golden with a well appointed white head that thins but retains. Nose is sugars, light citric, straw, cereals, touch of booze fumeage. Taste comprises caramel, straw, cereals, fruit rinds, lemon jus, sweet tones, marzipan, light yeast esters, bubblegum. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light booze in a sweet close. So so affair, doesn’t offer much depth for the ABV but on the other hand doesn’t taste too boozey. Not one I’d return too!

Bottle bought at de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a deep golden color with a large white foamy head and lots of bubbles. The aroma has tones of fruits, citrus like and spices. Also a little yeast is noticable. In the taste malty flavours with nuts and spices (cloves, coriander), a little sweetness from the cane sugar and some oranges. The finish is warming, a little alcoholic and also has a light bitterness. Not bad for a tripel, but I know better ones.

Decent tripel. Fruity, grainy and very yeasty. One of the first more special beers I ever had.

2009 bottle. Poured a clear gold with slight fizzy head for the first glass - but the second let the chunks loose in a mighty splash of nasty. Aroma of honey malt, baked orange marmalade. Flavor is slightly sweet malt, and some papery oxidation - virtually nothing else left. Past its peak, too bad. Too bad, need to try a fresh bottle - this obviously didn’t age well.
