n00bface (137) - Minneapolis, USA - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle at Ultime Atome (Brussels, Belgium)
Aroma: Spice, barnyard, some grass and citrus aromas.
Appearance: A hazy golden color, with a white head.
Taste: Moderate sweetness, and moderate bitterness. Doesn’t taste its abv.
Palate: Medium bodied, dry, with an average carbonation.
Nothing lambic-like in this one. It’s not a surprise, but I was secretly hoping for something similar to 3 Fonteinen’s ’beersel’ non-lambic line of beers.

alexsdad06 (5338) - Ohio, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with some fine cloudy sediment floating throughout; small medium sized white head that disappears. The aroma is citrus, tangy, Belgian yeast and sweet notes. The flavor is rather weak; dry, yeast, citrus with some sweetness. This didn’t taste like most tripels that I’ve had.

Scopey (6317) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2012
Bottle at home. It pours clear golden yellow with a thick off-white head. The nose is hay, spice, musty, white sugar, herbal edge, sweet pear and rotten apple. The taste is initially pretty sweet...candy sugar, melon, pear then hay, straw, spice, alcohol warmth, some astringency, mouldy wood and rotten fruit with a warming, spicy finish. Medium body and lively carbonation. Not a great fan of this style and don’t like the taste much...so yeah not really for me!

Countbeer (4317) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 2, 2012
Bottle: Medium vast sticky white head, disappears between regular speed and quick and leaves a sticky lacing on top of a light hazy yellow colored beer with an orange tint. Smell lots of apple, pear, yeast, dough, hints of herbs, malts, slight caramel, Taste apple, malts, caramel, herbs, grass, hops, hay, grains, corn, some bitterness, barley malts, some leaves and sweeter dried herbs, hints of sweet, spicy, creamy and sticky. Aftertaste of grassy herbs, dried herbs, some hints of fruit, light spicy grassy hops. Low to medium carbo, soft light tingly mouthfeel, good medium body (tends lightly to go fuller) and a creamy texture. When I smelled the beer I thought it would be another unbalanced tripel with a stingy grainy touch and some clay/glue, but apart from the grains there is no stingyness and no clay/glue also nothing unbalanced to find, so that is good. The alcohol is well hidden. Than again, it doesn’t go further than more than a balanced typical Belgian style triple.

Kåstå (1273) - Mol, BELGIUM - SEP 10, 2012
Cloudy blond coloured beer witha big white head. The aroma and taste is fruits, yeast, candy sugar with a malty body but with some hidden sourness. It finishes with a fruity sweet aftertaste.

Sten (621) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - SEP 4, 2012
Clear golden coloured beer with a fast diminishing white head. Lots of carbonation. Yeast and alcohol in the aroma. Flavour is medium sweet, a bit acidic due to the carbonation, yeasty and some alcohol is expressing itself in the taste. (Bottle 33cl)

Too sweet and I am not particularly fond of the floating things. Has a slightly sour/geuze touch. Not a fan, bottle from De Schans.

In bottle. Pours a yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, candy sugar and biscuity malt. Similar flavours and a little sweet. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle with an oily mouth-feel.
