4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
#3000. 75 cl. bottle split by 2. Bottle nr. 517/648. You can feel just how much carbonation there is in this one when you open it. Pours dark cherry ruby with a dark pink head, very beautiful. Smells of tart kriek with a huge lactic, sour yoghurt profile covering it, creamy, lovely. Sadly taste is a bit lesser, still, pretty good, lots of pits, lactic, yoghurt sour profile, light herbs, touch mineral / iron, creamy, tart but no puckering. Carb. is obv. very high. I like the yoghurt profile but it misses complexity and the price is crazily high.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared with Lorna. It pours deep red with a think head. The nose is candy, ripe cherry, tart green apple, wood, earth, cobbwebs. The taste is crisp, tart, cherry skin, dried cranberry, berry yoghurt, sherbet, granny smith apple with a dry, tart finish. Medium body, effervescent carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. No great depth, but it is rather tasty and very drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
courtesy of Toni - clear ruby-brown beer with a poor head retention; aroma of plums and cherries, notes of hay and flowers; fizzy and with some sweetness below; acidic and very dry; chewy aftertaste of cherries marmalade - not fully convincing

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle shared at CBC Islington during the Ryan Tasting. Big, big thanks to Matteo for this lovely beer. Pours an attractive, clear ruby-red with a pink foam head. Gorgeous beer all around: loads of sweet and tangy cherry, some berry skin bitterness. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Juicy berries to finish, cherry, light jammy fruit. It’s super clean and fresh. Awesome stuff. What’s really impressive is that this beer drinks like it’s 4-5%, not 8%. Outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
75cl bottle shared at CBC Islington, Steasy66 tasting. It opens with a loud pop, nice. No gushing but extremely carbonated. It pours clear deep ruby red color with a big pinkish head on top. Foam lasts quite a while. Aroma is sweet and acidic, very cherry forward. Citrus notes and some very marginal hints of funk. But mostly cherries. But in a good, natural way. Taste is once again well balanced between the fruity sweetness and the acidity. Loads of red fuits in this one, but little going on in terms of funk and citrusy flavours. Palate is medium with lively carbonation. Overall, fine brew but a bit bland on the acidity and funkiness and quite uni-dimensional on the cherries. As with the Bzart Kriek, I find myself craving for more complexity.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared with teorn88 at Craft Islington. Nose is sweet light cherry essence and fresh crushed black cherry, sugary merengue, . Taste is light and clean and a little too refined. I like a bit of rich pungent cherry punch. It’s tart sour, sugary sweetness and light cherry. Well carbonated, like a fizzy cherry drink. Not so bold on flavour, but nice to drink.
