Golden. Very sour aroma. Farmhouse, sweaty gym clothes. Some lime. Sour taste, which is more neutral. Same with aftertaste.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 750 ml bottle at local tasting. Golden colour, pours fizzy with a white head. Lovely brett "farmhouse" aroma. The flavour is not quite as intense as the aroma, but still good, quite dry. Some hops the aftertaste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flaske med særdeles elegant etikett, delt med venner med samme diagnose som meg, april-14: åpnet med champagnesmell av seremonimester Melberg: deilig farmhouse aroma og smak. Rene landbruksmuseet. Lys gylden med fint bruseskum. En fin introduksjon til lalbiekstilen.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium sized lively and quickly changing white foamy head
Aromas of barn, wild yeast, rubber, farmhouse, (dried)herbs, cheese, some rope and wood.
Flavours of grapes, wild yeast, light tart, light funky, light cheese, some older malts, dried herbs and barn tones.
Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, light tart, wild yeast, wood, light farmhouse/barn.
Low to medium carbo, creamy mouthfeel, full bodied and a light creamy light dry texture.
Tasted this almost a year ago and was close to champagne... Qua yeast and carbo, after almost a year of rest, this has become like a classic Lambiek, awesome in any way! Delicious!

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika. Golden color, good foam- very high carbonation. Intense stable aromas, nice yeast- some sherry notes. Medium body & complexity. Good sourness & bitterness. Long lasting aftertaste. Very enjoyable.

75cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - thanks! Pours slightly hazy golden with a bubbely, white head. Yeasty aroma with notes of barnyard and sour berries. Moderate sweet and funky with a dry and sour finish. Nice and refreshing!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled late 2012, don’t remember how old the actual lambic inside is, would assume two or three years.
Deeper yellow color than usual for a lambic, quite clear, of course, with a small, rapidly fizzling white head akin to the pour of champagne.
Cheesey, doughy, somewhat autolytic nose has some lighter green apple and limeskin notes that help brighten all this musty basement funk. A rather larger-than-I’d-prefer dose of vanilla and cotton candy-like malt sweetness is notable, but it’s fairly tart on the end and displays a medium strength of aroma overall with no alcohol sharpness, at least.
Flavor is again oddly cheesey. Like a strange mix of malt flavored yogurt that is on the verge of going bad. Tart, bordering sour, but nowhere near the lingering well-definied malo-lactic sourness of the better/best lambics. And the mouthfeel...these somewhat loose, unfocused bubbles are doing nothing for the already sweeter-than-usual flavor, nevermind this is supposed to be a Brut champagne style beer.
A noble experiment (I guess), but none-too-successful. For $25 bucks I could see enjoying this when you wanna celebrate and don’t wanna worry about stirring up sediment in an actual lambic. For $60??? Ludicrous. I’m glad I tried it, but I can think of so many other real champagnes I’d rather drink for that amount of money. Hell, I’d rather have a Deus or an Enlightenment Brut, regardless of price.
Also, can we get a name change? Has to be one of the stupidest names for a beer. Also, the label....come on, really?
Ok, ok, I’m done here.

Share from ClarkVV. Nice lambic with loads of stone fruit, muddled funk, sweetness that lingers a bit and moderate tartness. Nice to get to try this but its not as fantastic as the price would suggest but still solid.

Bottle supplied by ClarkVV . Many thanks! To oversized snifter, it pours a golden yellow with which a sudsy white head 1 finger in length stood. Smells and tastes of funk, toasted breadcrumbs, mineral water, and apple cider vinegar. Watery. Had fun with this one.
