Nice orange pour with a big white head. Really balanced aroma to this. Some vinous notes, grass and earthy funk, some mild must, tons of yeast, and a good green apple tartness. The flavor is quite dry and yeasty. Tons of must, some grass, a bit of oak, and lactic sourness. Very well done beer.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ New Years Tasting. Pours a clear golden beer with a big white head on top. Aroma is very strong, funky, tarty, loads of Brett. Flavor is quite sweet for a gueuze, as for how I know them. Slight fruityness detected here, not much else. High level of carbonation, dry moutfheel. Decent gueuze.

Blonde claire, effervescence moyenne, col blanc mousseux tombe vite. Boisée, légèrement acide, présence de pomme. Un lambic à la méthode champenoise qui donne beaucoup de plaisir.

Bottle from De Hopduvel. Yellow colour, white foam. A lot of carbonation. Dry and rather thin beer. Aroma of citrus and green apples. Bit out of balance but still refreshing and good.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared at GTMW ticket wait out line 2014. Big lemon-orange brett aroma. Thin yellow-orange water body. A little thin bodied. Odd Pils-esque butter undertones. Mellow pear apricot nuances. OK.

Bottle shared by friends. Damn god… got to love that poopy diaper smell. NOT. Some brettanomyces, and wet shoe leather.
Unfortunately it tastes just like it smells. Mouthfeel is over carbonated and fizzy. I just don’t think I will ever enjoy any Lambic unless it has some fruit or is real old. And maybe not even then… What really makes me sad is how much was spent on this bottle. $50.00 U.S. Screw that.

Bottle... Poured agree with others that this is overprice, but still a phenomonal lambic. Poured golden with a moderate white head. Lemon, citrus, zest, work drying acidic sourness and cheesy funk.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Enjoyed it, easy to drink and light to medium sourness. The champannoise method (degorgement) gives it a good look. It would be a nice introduction to the style if the price wasn’t so high. Unfortunately not worth the 50$+ asking price.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Initiated by wine makers, ’champenoise’ version of Oud Beersel lambic, since 2013. Coarse, loose, off-white, quickly collapsing, champagne-like foam, colour light blonde with greenish hue like a witbier, misty. Powerful and very eccentric aroma of dry sherry, white grapes, lemon zest, straw, grapefruit, green apple, strawberry vinegar, sweat; taste begins with a lively fruity acidity (apple, kiwi, gooseberry), subdued lambic character of which the wheat comes through most conspicuously, citric acid, soft tingling mouthfeel very comparable to champagne or prosecco, vinous, finishing in a light grassy and peppery hop bitterness, long and dry. The crazy idea of making flat lambic sparkling by applying the champagne-making method to it has been well executed here, I even dare say this is an important addition to Belgian beer culture but I still have to get used to this kind of beverage. A very suitable apéritif, that is for sure.
