3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle shared at a ’bzart tasting’ with a few colleagues, poured a nice dark red colour in the beginning of the bottle, with a nice dark pink /red unstable head. dark sweet cherries, cherrie pie, grains, sour cherries, raspberries, nice lively carbonated, red grapes, oak, bit spice, reminds me of a bit of a sweeter version of the oud beersel kriek, thank god we where with a lot of people who paid for this tasting. i don’t get the price tag of the 2 series of bzart. very nice beers. but it’s not that they are way and way better as their regular geuze and kriek beers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Pours clear red with a small pale pink head. Aroma of cherries, brett, horseblanket and caramel notes. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and average carbonation. Slightly sour flavor that ends up dry and tart. A very nice Kriek.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Picked this up in Belgium last year. Enjoyed split 2 ways @ 40 Degrees F and allowed to warm.
A - Looks like a crimson / maroon red with a slightly red 4 finger head that fades to 1 finger and sticks around. Cork popped in a similar way to champagne.
S - The nose is nice. Sweet cherry pie, cloves, brown sugar, tart and oak with a bit of grape juice.
T - The taste is surprisingly very good. Reminds me a lot of better done back sweetened kriek Lambiek or just a sweeter version of Oud Beersel Kriek. Tart and sweet finish lingers for a while
M - Mouthfeel is huge, very champagne like it’s a nice explosion of flavor and very dense mouthfeel. Interesting
O - For the price I paid in Belgium, I may buy this again but at prices we see here in USA, it’s just not worth it.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
1500 ml. bottle / magnum sampled @ Pure Apricot Tasting. A pricy affair. Thank you! Vibrant red, rich tad sweeter kriek real fruit expression with nice yoghurt sourness, very lively drink. Nice but not really worth it. Nice presentation but once again this is too much dough for presentation.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
magnum shared by julienhuxley, thanks bro. pours hazy/cloudy bright red with a frothy purplish head demonstrating very good retention and lacing. fresh ripened cherries and its sassy-sweet meat, fresh cinnamon, light and well integrated acidity - blend of lactic, citric and closing with acetic notes in an almost american fashion, red wine, nicely astringent, grass and pepper. bright if not prickly champagne-like carbonation, light to medium body - feels just a tad heavy, sweetish and astringent zinfande-ish tart finish. very tasty - yet this concotion seemed more american than its american attemps on a kriek, ref. bullfrog le roar grrrz kriek. enjoyed!
