COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

Clear dark red with initial pink foam head, however only small foam ring left. Aroma is framboos=raspberry ? Taste is bit sour sweet fruit, kind of nice. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201310) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rouge brunâtre, effervescence moyenne, petit col rose persistant.

So, so. Laut Eigenbeschreibung die fehlende Verbindung zwischen Bier und Wein? Ich mag weder saures Bier noch sauren Wein. Das hat auch mit <trocken> nix zu tun. Schlechte Brause.

Red pour with a huge head. Sweet raspberries and barnyard funk in aroma. Taste....raspberries in cream, some lactic sourness, fairly tart. Mouthfeel is perfect.

Bottle at home, from BOE, 06/09/13. Lightly hazed cherry red with a good sized crimson head. Nose is sweet raspberries, berry dipped straw, musty notes. Taste comprises slightly tarte raspeberries, light sugar, well pitched level of acidity, light must and funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation pitched well. Decent fruit lambic, not overly complex but not overly sweet either. Good stuff.

12.7 oz bottle from Nugget in Woodland, CA. The aroma is huge with raspberries. Nicely aromatic, but not much else happening here. No underlying tartness, or otherwise. Could have a little more complexity. Moderately hazy ruddy garnet body with a small, fizzy, quickly dissipating pink head present. Starts with a nice amount of moderate tart sourness. Not too acetic. Nice acidity, though. Finish has a nice balance of semi-sweet raspberry flavors. Pretty well-balanced and quite drinkable. Not a hard-core sour, but good nonetheless.

Much better than most US commercially available lambics, tart and sweet, puckering from yeast and fruit, the hint of raspberry without a syrup quality, very smooth finish.

Bottle at Monks. Cloudy thick dark violet red pour with some soft white foam. Strong sweet & sour - equal parts each. Similar to their Kriek in style and fruitiness. Bit syrupy for my taste but at least no parsing on the tartness. Still feels too much like a soda.

Purple coloured beer with small pink head and lots of carbonation. Fruity berry aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is rather sour full fruited ending dry. Not well in balance, though good one.
