COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

wow a low rater, people hate sweet. ok different but very nice, ruby haze and a small nearly white pink head. its sweet at first but it gives way to a refreshing sour. little funk and mostly raz aroma.

Bottle and on draft at Blind tiger. This is my favorite Framboise to date. Pours a murky ruby raspberry body with a pink foamy head quickly leaving only the body. Aroma and flavor is sour funky raspberries, melon, wood and leaves a dry tart finish. I enjoyed it more out of the bottle and my rating will follow as such.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head. Tart and very fruity, berry-like aroma. Medium body with sweetish raspberry notes, some acidity and some fusty accents - cork perhaps. Sweetínísour finish. 270408

375mL bottle, best by 08 2011 (?); label is slightly illegible. Pours a hazy, deep, pitty red-raspberry color; significant pinkish head with solid retention and fine-bubbled lacing; solid, creamy bubble formation. Very nice, fresh raspberry presence in the aroma, somewhat reminiscent of a toned down NG Raspberry Tart; some mustiness and overripe red fruit apparent as well, but in the background; the dominant note is full-on raspberry with minimal tartness. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: the taste is a bit of a let-down from the aroma: solid levels of chewy, pitty raspberries and red fruit, similarly overripe; but the fruit character is a touch syrupy, the tart / sourness is mild, and thereís just a bit of a metallic twang that isnít beneficial by any means (though this seems to dissipate after the first few sips); lively, effervescent carbonation, and the below comparison to a Kir Royale (Champagne and Chambord) is spot-on: a bit syrupy, lively carbonation, some mustiness and citrus; not bad by any means, in the way that a Kir Royale can be good when the Champagne is quality and the Chambord is kept to an accentuating role; though, Iím not sure thatís what Iím primarily looking for in a framboise. Medium finish: mildly tart raspberries, plenty of mustiness, and some lingering citrus.

On tap at the brickstore. Poured a very appetizing deep red with a light off white head. Highly carbonated and fruited drink. Obviously the raspberry is present and pretty aggresively so. Raspberry in the aroma and fruity, slightly sweet flavors of the fruit as well. This reminded me of a Kir Royale. Would want a little more sour and a little less fruit but whoís to complain with this being on draft?

[Bottle] Poured a darkish red with a moderately large pinkish head. Aroma is tart raspberries and not much else. Flavor is the same with a huge lingering tartness from the berries. Fairly one sided, but itís a good side to take.

Bottle, Pours a ruby reddish brown with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet raspberry jam. Neither tart nor sour. Flavor is similar with a bit more earth and some light tartness coming through. Very easy drinking and quite tasty.

Bottle - tasted blind. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has very strong notes of raspberries as well as hints of nuts. The flavor is very sweet - somewhat artificial, with notes of almonds and raspberries and hints of acidity from the berries, leading to a dry alcoholic and bitter finish. But inspite of the alcohol presence the body is medium. Thanks to Papsoe.
