Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

Tasted from bottle at Old Town Social. Pours cloudy garnet with a fluffy pink head that quickly recedes to nothing. The nose is wild raspberry with just a hint of tartness. The flavor is raspberry with a hint of sweetness and a bit of tartness as well. The body is light with sparkling carbonation and a medium tart and malty finish.

Bottle, bought @ Beermerchants.com.
A lovely, deep red with a medium, pink, frothy head. Kinda fizzy. Aroma has sweet raspberries, mild barnyard, some marzipan and vanilla. Medium carbonation, light and fairly dry mouthfeel. Flavour is mildly tart, some raspberries, but they are not really in my face, kinda sugary and sweet on top of the tartness. Fine, lingering dryness at the finish.

Serving: 375 ml. bottle from State Line Liquors.
Aroma: The nose is heady and sweet with raspberries at first. A nice bit of earthy funk comes through later.
Appearance: It pours a cloudy pink with a small, light pink head.
Flavor: A nice mix of sweetness, raspberries, earth, yeast, and funk. There is a nice interplay of sweet and sour going on. This one is very approachable for those new to lambics.
Palate: Light to medium body with above average carbonation and a slightly sweet finish.
Overall: This was a nice lambic with some sweetness and some funk. A nice next step past your initial overly sweet lambics. Even the ladies liked this one. Definitely worth a go.

Tap @ RedLight. Pours a rapsberry red color with a pinkish head. Nose is slight rasperry and sweet as well as some sourness. Flavors are raspberries, nice sour flavors, slight spice and sweetness and the sourness continues into the finish. Like the balance of sweet and sour with slight funk.

Corked/caged bottle from Longhorn, Estes Park, CO.
Pours a lush, deep raspberry crayon with an aroma of sugar-spiked raspberries floating in sweet vinegar. Flavor is tart, rotten raspberries in rotten cherries. Slick mouthfeel. Bask in the putridity; this stuff is rotten divine.

Red/orange pour, light pink head. Aroma is tons of funky raspberry- one dimensional, but nice. Flavor is more raspberry, wet hay, and barnyard funk. Palate is a bit watery, but still refreshing. Decent lambic.
