3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Reddish with a light pinkish head. Nose is full of sour cherries and raspberry-seedy jam. Some vanilla, and a touch of funk. Overall a very berry-fruity aroma, that leans heavily towards darkish jammyness. Body is medium-light, funk more clearly present than in the aroma. Some malts, sour cherry, raspberry seeds. An ok, not too heavy nor too easy, framboise. I’m just more for enjoying funkiness with plain malts than with a fruit injection.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from 5 points in Athens. Picked up in October but best by date is 05-18-2013 so this could be interesting. Nice pop - good sign. Amber pour pour with large off white head. Smell is vinegar soaked fruit with a certain acidic pungency. Taste is mild raspberries, lightly tart, lightly funky. Entertaining and held up much better than expected. Huh.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml bottle, pours deep red brown with no head, aroma is big on raspberries, sightly tart but not particularly sour, full bodied with an oily texture with only very fine carbonation and a dry fruity finish. This doesn’t have the big sournesso of some Lambics, but that’s not a bad thing. Lots of taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
375ml bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York. Clear red-orange in colour with a thin dissipating white head, some light but nice lacing. The aroma is rather sweet with lots of raspberries, white sugar, slight tartness, pie crust. The flavour is quite sweet, some added sugars me thinks, lots of raspberries though that this is nice, not overly tart or acidic. Finishes long, sweet, with tons of raspberries. Its a bit on the sweet side for my tastes in lambics, I prefer my fruit lambics to be quite tart and sour.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375 ml bottle from Belgian eshop
Ruby red color, quite lighter color than I remember from the last time and very clear, light pink-purplish head that doesn’t linger. Amazing aroma, sweetish, like any kind of berry jam, mostly strawberry and sour cherry and just a hint of funkiness. Taste is mostly sour balanced with an amazing berry sweetness, really tasty!! Maybe some vanilla(or diacetyl), I’m not sure... Didn’t sense much funkiness. Nice tartness in the aftertastes, always makes me salivate and can’t wait to taste the next sip...
As it get’s warm the aroma is more intense and I can sense a hint of diacetyl(or something similar). I expected a bit more funk but it’s an amazing brew nonetheless.
