COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise is a classic among the Belgian beers created by adding whole fresh raspberries (250 g/l)to a blend of young and old lambic. Framboise Oud Beersel is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses.

As soon as I started pouring I was struck by the raspberry jam aroma. It clued me in that this one wouldn’t be the sour lambic that I wanted but I can’t deny the appeal of such an aroma. The appearance was grand. All dark and stuff with one of those huge heads that makes a column in the middle and then collapses on himself. Alas, this is just a decently made but overly sweet raspberry soda lambic. I sort of like them but I don’t really find them satisfying. I can’t deny that there’s some good craftsmanship behind these things but whatever it’s boring.

375ml bottle from West Lakeview. Pours a reddish brown color with a thin pinkish head. Aroma is very fruity, jammy, raspberry. Smells delicious. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, fruity, raspberries, jam, some light tartness, lemon, with a dry, raspberry finish. Love how jammy this is, but not as complex as some other fruit lambics.

Pours a medium reddish brown with a thin lightly pink head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of raspberry syrup and lambic, seems slightly funk and tart. Taste is indeed lightly acidic, offers more natural raspberries and lemon juice. Body is light, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel slightly watery. At least it is refreshing and not too sweet. OK fruit lambic.

0,33 pullo@ Kaisla Hki. Kaunis, kirkas syvän tummanpunainen olut. Tuoksu hyvin vadelmainen , kirpeydenkin voi haistaa. Maku kuivahkon vadelmainen, raikas ja kevyt ilman liikaa kirpeyttä. Hyvää!

Very good mix between Old Lambiek and fresh fruits. It’s was sunny Sunday and a perfect beer for this moment. It’s 220gr/l of fresh raspberries and not 250 gr/l.

Fruity aroma of light sourish raspberries, very light barnyard. Flavour is moderate sour and light sweet. This would have been even better with a little more tartness.

Clear and solid red colour with some orangey reflexions offering a fast fading pink head with CO2 - champagne like. On the nose the aroma of raspberry is the predominant ingredient but also offers hints of vanilla, wood and wet earthy notes. Offers a brisk fizz which develops the sweet fruity flavours and the light acidity of the fruit. All harmonically balanced. The finish light dry fruity and lasting mediumly.

Bottled 375ml. Remarkably faint sourness. Earthy moldy components throughout. Light bodied. Sweetish. Flat palate. Unsignificant quick finish which is reminiscent of dandelion. Dissapointing to my tastes.

From TAP at Waterhuis aan de bierkant Gent. APPEARANCE: clear red beer, small stable reddish head. NOSE: raspberries, little sour, fresh. TASTE: sour, though little sweet as well, watery, raspberries, rather fruity, but not really a good sourness. Has this been on tap for too long maybe?

Pours clear deep ruby red with a pink head. Aroma has notes of raspberries and sugar. Taste is medium sweet and light sour with a long dry and raspberry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
