3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden. Hazy yellow shade. Almost no head. Slight malty aroma with big jammy red wine fruitiness. Taste again is nicely juicy with sufficient wild lambic character. Medium sour, manageable, dryness as it finishes. Barrel really adds to this nicely.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Kick. Slightly unclear golden body with practically no head, just a thin white film that disappears immediately. Classic funky Lambic aroma, horse blanket and fruity acid. Flavor is dry, acidic and fruity but there is also some kind of soft malt sweetness here. It’s a fine and relatively easy drinkable Lambic for the sour beer drinkers, still I’m convinced there is a good reason for blending Lambics. They tend to miss a lot of the complexity from a Geuze whatsoever. It’s sure nice to sample a few unblended once to know a little of what it is about, but the blended stuff is just more complex. Anyway this is one of the smoothest Lambics I have sampled.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Churchkey. Draft listing states "blend of Boon-brewed lambics aged 6 months in Chateauneuf-du-Pape barrels." Turbid apricot colored pour, no head whatsoever. Nose and flavor bring beautiful horseblanket and earthen funk, hay, lemon, cider vinegar, hints of vinous tannin. Flavor much of the same, with apple and lemon coming to the fore. Very light carbonation, just beyond still. Delicious.
