COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Light golden pour with almost no head at all. Lemon, light tartness, hay, grains and some light bitterness.

Color cobrizo pálido con ligera espuma blanca. Aromas equilibrados de fruta fresca, bertt y madera. Cuerpo medio, acidez afrutada y equilibrada, toque de brett. Final moderadamente seco. Muy rica.

Bottle 37.5cl. With caged cork. Unclear to cloudy orange amber color, big off-white frothy head, recedes slowly to a thin layer with good lacing; acidic nose, wheat, some barnyard, light vinegar, gooseberry; taste fresh mild sour, slightly bitter; medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, finish mild sour, slightly more bitterness in the aftertaste. Very nice mild sour geuze.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2014 No sweet not to mouch sour. Well balanced gueuze with it’s caracteristic cider/sparkling wine taste. Some lemon and grape. Good one!!

"Not feeling this one as a 99th percentile beer, though it was enjoyed. Lemony aroma and tartness with some stinky cheese and a touch of green olive and hay. Carbonation a bit sharp. Probably textbook for the style, but just good IMO."

Bottle 2011 vintage. Golden pour with fizzy white head. Aroma is funky, sour, and sweaty. Taste is sour up front , crisp and lively carbonation, light funk, tart, with a bone dry finish. Tasty business.

From a 375 ml bottle at home. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head. Aroma of bandaids. Flavors of tart lemon. Nice and clean finish. Very refreshing.
