3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Fairly clean orange golden color with a long-lasting creamy white head. Ample carbonation keeps the head around. Lemon-citrus aroma with wet hay undertones. The overall flavor is pretty light. Lemons and lemon rinds with a grassy spiciness in the start with a bitter leafy hoppy finish. I didn't really like the bitterness in this beer, I think it detracted from its refreshing citrus flavors. Still a decent guezue.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 Hazy orange coloured, head as large as you want it to be. Aroma is typically gueuze, but not as strong as i expected it to be. Sour and tart flavour, but not extremely. Not as complex as some other gueuzes, but pretty good.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Billowing head as expected, brilliantly clear (at least first pour) Extremely attractive gueuze aroma, cidery, sour, with a touch of lemon. Sour, with good lemony acidity, but not as assertively sour as some of the heavy hitters. Straw and hay. Dry, lingering finish. God, I love lambic! It is a absolute shame that Oud Beersel no longer.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Flavor was very good, but I have to give it lower points because of the odd fishy aroma. Nuffield likes it, so it must be good... Maybe my palate just needs a little more refining. ;-)

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Hazy orange in color. Barnyward, hay, honey, and banana in the aroma. Sour fruit flavor, typical. Finish was no bueno, it had an obnoxious chemical twinge.....it ruined it for me after a promising start.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smacks of mintiness (like toothpaste from the dentist) with a definite sour undertone. Appearance seems to be a golden yellow (darm room!!!). Flavor is like fish and chips - fishiness witht he tartness of vinegar but not as much mint as in the aroma. Acidic aftertaste, but decent overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
sweetish cidery nose, a bit leather and hay as well.
Amber/orange, champagne pearls, low but stable head.
quite subdued flavors - I really had to go looking for them: A bit barnyard, some roses, apples, lemons - but low acidity. Light mouthfeel, even a bit watery.
I don't know, somehow this wasn't the big epiphany for me - I think I will let the second bottle sit for a
year or two and try again....

Appearance: Slightly cloudy, hibiscus yellow
Flavor: Sweet, smooth, with slight carbonation and floral and oak barrel flavors. Also, strong minty flavor, similar to that of toothpaste.
Palate: Bubbly, tingling up front and tart in the middle.
Overall: Not bad, but expected more.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells fruity and floral, sour and punchy. A slightly ruby-orange, hazy appearance. Dry, light and crisp, stinging the lips and sour throughout with the usual lemon and medicine (band aid) flavors. Nice, but average.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Probably the best gueuze i've had. Golden color, medium white head. Aroma is old gueuze, oak, apple, melon. Bit sweet, bit sour taste, maybe a bit more watery not as sticky taste and palate as some other gueuzes like the Girardin.
