Sweet, very, for the style. A bit of oaky vanilla. Thin body, low carbonation. Not at all dry. Sweeter! Oak lingering tannins. Not too tart or sour at all. Lacking the bracing refreshing tartness a lambic should have. Maybe this needs a decade or two? gueuzeisgod (109), Graham, North Carolina, USA

One of my favorite beers of all time, a bit unique as geuzes go, lemongrass and leather, hay and old barnwood smell. Head collapses down to a thin bead rather quickly. The sourness is quenching but not nearly as aggressive as Cantillon or Hanssen’s (my favorite so far). Not at all vinegary; a bit of citrus pith keeps the mouthfeel astringent-The smell gets horsier and leatherier as it warms up. I could drink this one in great quantity as a daily staple. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. JK54B (975), Helsinki, Finland

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 26, 2008 Bottle from Dranken Geers, near Gent, Belgium, March 08 consumed 25-05-08 My first pour was clear gold, with nice big white bubbly head that rapidly vanished, this beer became cloudier and murkier the more that I got down the 750ml bottle. Aroma was leathery, dusty and also moist flannel, unusual in that I failed to notice any barnyard funkiness, my twelve year old niece said she could smell rusty nails. Taste was quite big on grapefruits, good sharp acidic bite though not as fearsome as some Geuze, tasty beer refreshing and most enjoyable. FrankJohansen (3398), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

Fuzzy yellow in color. Smell is sour and funky and not my "thing". Flavor is much more mild and bland than I expected it to be. It has some sourness to it and some funk but it is very underplayed.
