Commercial Description:
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

375 ml "champagne" bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.0%. Pours with an enormous white (possibly slightly off-white) head, which slowly reveals a beer of hazy deep golden colour. Lovely complex aroma of farmhouse and fermenting fruits, hints of oak and spices. The flavour is fairly sour and tart, with a dry finish. Some hops in the aftertaste. Good stuff!

Sparkling golden with an offwhite champagnelike head. Great aroma of green apples, lemonpeel and a sweet hint of candy sugar. Fresh lightly sour flavor, fruity, complex and earthy, with a dry grapefruit and woody finish.

Bottle. Golden clear body with a fluffy white head. Citric aroma with a distinct sour feel. Lots of grapefruit too. Medium bodied. Medium sour flavour that makes it quite vinous with lots of grapefruit, vinegar and citrus. Ends up pretty dry. Fruity and nice gueuze.

Light yellow pour with lots of haze. Bubbly with a thick fluffy white head. Sweet citrusy aroma. Grape and fruity. Some wood and earth. Surprisingly fresh smelling for a lambic. Slightly sweet as it hits the tongue. A little sour, not too much much.
