COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Pours hazy yellow with a white, dissipating head. Sour, yet fruity nose. Tangy, sour fruitiness with hints of orange, some yeast. Refreshing arrival, and a dry finish. Respectable geuze.

Cloudy, yellow colour with a bit of orange/brown. Thick, creamy white head. Fruity aroma, banana, with some yeast. Taste is tart and dry. Light bodied with low carbonation. It’s a lot like white wine, very nice.

Bottle. Clear golden color with quite thick white head. Aroma is quite tart with funky elements and some berries, fruits and a hint of yeast. Taste is fruity but quite sour and dry with long nice aftertaste. Flavors of sour apples, berries, citrus and wood. Well balanced and very drinkable.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2016 Bottle from Alko, Espoo. Pours cloudy golden with a little but well lasting head. The aroma features yeasty barnyard themed notes and sour fruitiness; also a touch of pale maltiness. Taste is fresh, crisp and quite sour and tart; apple, black currant, citrus fruitiness and some grain. The palate is medium-bodied, the carbonation lively. Refreshingly sour and fruity.

Aroma has a nice funkiness, lemon, salinity, notes of burnt plastic, soapy hops, some nice phenols. Beautiful and complex! Funkiness isn’t very intense but beautiful. Pale and almost crystal clear with normal white head that dissipates. Taste is tart with some botanic notes, brett is intense too and strangely a bit hoppy. Makes me salivate and want more! Some citrus overtones. Body is light ot medium, light carbonation and very dry. Amazing beer...
