yousee (48), Belgium Feb 22, 2005 Updated: May 14, 2007 orange coloured beer with a big ivory creamy head. Aroma is full of apple and honey. Taste is very sour with notes of apple, honey and old farm barnyard. The aftertaste ends in sweetness.
robinvboyer (1003), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Sep 5, 2008 hazy yellow pour with a nice thick head. Big funk aroma, some lemons, and some apples. Flavour is also unky, and sour, a good amount of sourness mingled with the lemon, and apple flavours. An odd horseradish aftertaste, other than that, a quality lambic. BeerGestapo (322), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 (Belgium) Pours a hazy yellow color with a sm foamy white head with lots of carbonation. The aroma is of citrus, bread, pepper, and spices. The taste of citrus, green apples, lemons, and some baby funk !!!! The mouthfeel is very sour with a tart finish. This was very interesting, would like to try some others !! Beware, this lambic is not for everyone. MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Aug 31, 2008 (37.5cl bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a medium sized eggshell-coloured frothy head. Slightly acidic and apple-/citrus-fruity aroma with notes of vinegar and cheesy barnyard-like elements. Sourish flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mouldy lambic taste with notes of apples and citrus with rural farmhouse character; dry and slightly acidic and tart finish with mouldy notes (24.08.08). ParkSloper (15), New York, USA Aug 29, 2008 Aroma is sharp, citrusy. Color is hazy, pale yellow-orange with a persistent thin head. Flavor starts with citrus, then moves into a slightly wheaty, slightly funky phase. Finish is crisp, almost abrupt. Palate is light and a bit astringent. Overall, it’s easy to see why the label copy calls it "the white sparkling wine of the ale world." cmillward (170), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2008 Updated: Sep 4, 2008Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold, cascading bubbles froth up to a large white head that then settles down real quick. Quite acidic on the nose, lemon, leather and some old cheese and barnyard funk. A little spiciness from the brett is apparent too. Taste is tart initially, apples and leather and some spice. The flavor doesn’t live up to the suggestion of acidity in the nose. That was a disappointment. Some wheat flavors, along with a slight bitterness at the end. Well-carbed, tingly and fizzy. Nice and dry. Most affordable of the traditional lambics that are locally available.
