COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

75cl bottle from QVID.be. Exp 29/10/2029. Pop the cork and this is a gusher, take care when opening! Light tart flavour, scent of gueuze! this is a really good gueuze, full of flavour, pours with a frothy soapy head that disappears quickly to a surprising flat beer, but not in a bad way. Bitter, sour and smooth.

07/06/2016 - 37,5cl bottle @ Brik Brak, Brussels. Hazy yellow with fading white head. Nose is hay, sour, some apple. Taste is sour, some wood, green aplle, very easily drinking. Nice quick refresher but lacks complexity.

Very clear golden color with a big spritzy, but quickly dissipating head. Aroma of white wine, with a strong bret presence. Taste sour but not overpowering. Complex yeast flavours. Im a big fan of oud bruin, so this was a little one dimensional to me. Very good though.

375ml bottle. Pours a hazy light gold, with a medium off-white head, which lasts well and leaves good lacing. Old leather, citrus oil, light raspberry and herbal nettle notes make for a very enticing aroma. Potent sourness up front brings in raspberry and lemon notes. Leathery funk and oak bring complexity to the mid-palate and the finish is cleansing and sour. A complex, strongly sour gueuze. Highly enjoyable.

75cl bottle, shared with friends @ Homo Sibaris. Pours golden with white head. Good lacing. Aroma is fruits, green apples and caramel. The flavour is mostly lemon, quite fruity and caramel-ish as well. Bitterness and sourness are very balanced on the palate. Medium body, perfect carbonation. Really good Geuze.
