COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Bottled. Pale w/ yeast clumps, fiizzy. Very interesting nose follow by a very off putting fucked up "who pissed beer into my" champagne flavor. Palate had some lingers of that cool foreign nose... but this beers really not for me.

Pours flat medium yellow with average mostly diminishing white head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of nut and bread. Moderate hoppy aroma with note of grapefruit. Heavy yeast aromas with notes of leather and earth. Notes of wood and hint of smoke. Initial flavor is light sweetness, heavy acidic with some salt. Fruity and wine-like. Light to medium body, texture is watery, carbonation is fizzy. Nice.

375ml bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, orange gold. Thick, bubbly, lasting, white head. Funky, and sweaty. Cheese rind. Bit of lemon pith. Taste is dry, and light, lactic tart. Frothing mouthfeel. Slightly acidic. Crisp, and clean. Long, light tart finish. Could drink this all day.

Sour with a bit of hopiness but not too heavy. Definitely smells like beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Aroma is ultra funky. Mildew, barnyard, wet hay, cotton and light sour citrus juice. Tastes light to moderately sour. Nice dry tart finish. Very funky as expected to but more pulpy citrus too. Great stuff. Could drink this a lot.

Best by 2032. Pours a sunny gold with a tall, fizzy eggshell head that settles fairly quickly to almost nothing, leaving no lace and a decent amount of suspended sediment in the body. Nose involves some bright tropical and citrus fruit notes, hearty wooden oak notes, earth and dirt, hay, dust and cellar, something approaching funk but not quite there yet. Lightly sweet, fairly tart, and somewhat bitter. Light to medium bodied, somewhat active, tannic, with a drying cellar-tinged tart finish. A nice brew that maybe could have used a little more cellar time to develop.

Bottle at home. Pours cloudy light amber with big white head. Aroma of berries, grapes, citrus, wood, some horse stable and fennel. Taste sour with sweet finish and a little umami. High carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of straw, yeast, lemon, green apple, some grape, wood and subtle pepper. Taste of sour lemon, green apple, grapes, some sweetness, straw and some wheat, like a sparkling wine. Medium bodied and a lively carbonation. A dry and smooth white wine finish with subtle tartness. Extremely drinkable and smooth, this is the first sour beer I’ve really liked. Quite citrusy and clean, nice.
