COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze is a classic among the Belgian Ales, following spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels (no yeast or sugar added), young and old Lambic are blended; which results in a dry, tart and fruity wine like taste. Oud Beersel Geuze Ale is the white sparkling wine of the ale world.

Looks like hazy fizzy applejuice. Aroma is (very) sour medicinal and mineral. Oh my God. Citric sour with some herbal and almost savory. Body is thin but extremely refreshing. Very nice lambic.

S: Sour berries, refreshing. A: Light amber, medium head that dissolves quickly to a ring around the rim. No lacing. T: Very tart, some funky earthy notes, some gooseberry on the side. Lingering sticky bitterness. O: Speaking as a beginner, this is one good lambic. Really solid, well balanced between the main tart part and some bitter/sweetness in the aftertaste.

Pale yellow with a foam top that lasts longer than with other gueuze. Indicative of the high carbonation that dominates to much. Not very sour, more earthen notes. Medium finish, moderately dry with some nuts

Aroma of sour apples, wood, barnyard funk, white wine. Flavour is mild tart and just a little sweet. Quite dry, carbonated like champagne. Not the most aromatic or sour Gueuze, but very gentle, balanced and easy drinkable. I could not stop taking sips from this.

Bottle from my European Summer Santa - many thanks to you! The lambic pours out in a hazy light dirty amber colour with low airy head and crisp body. Wonderful aroma of sour berries, very mild vinegar and green nuts. Wonderful balanced taste of a gentle but also intense sourness, unripe berries, gooseberries, light green nuts and light sour mash. High enjoyable and so refreshing and quaffable. Loved it.

This rating is pure memory from about a month ago. Hazy goldish yellow pour with a large white head. Aroma of horseblanket, funk, must and lemon zest. Taste is slightly tart , funky with must horseblanket, standard barnyard funk taste, and refreshing lemon and a decently dry finish, very refreshing on a hot day.

Bottle. Light hazy golden with a medium sized diminishing white head. Leather, dusty, hay, fruit stack, oak. Medium body, oily texture, high carbonation, light/medium sweet and sour. It builds up, but falls a bit flat with a thin, fizzy and sweet finish.

Cloudy, pale orange. No head. Tart, acetic aroma. Sour flavour, pear. Ok, but not impressive.

Bottle. Pours hazy light amber with sediments and small white head. Clear aroma of peaches and malt, with vinous and estery notes. Vinous and dusty flavour, with notes of yeast. Bitter and sourish aftertaste. Very soft carbonation. Very decent, indeed.
