The wife’s comments make the perfect review that I really cannot add to... "It tastes like something Huckleberry Finn would drink. When he grew up." See?

750ml bottle served into an over-sized wine glass. Best before: 28-10-2029 A - Slightly hazed ruby color with a light pink head that forms a collared ring around the glass. S - Sour cherries, strawberry preserves, vinous grapes, old damp wood, musky and sharp funk, leather, peppery spice, funky fruity alcohol. T - Sour fruit, cherries, strawberries, lemon citrus, notes of seafood brine, musky wood. A light candy sweetness in the middle. Finishes tart and very dry. M - Light body, lively fine carbonation, bone dry finish. Excellent looking beer! Very balanced levels of sweet and sour. Funk levels are musky and dusty. Good sharp sourness with loads of fruit and a dry finish. I’d love to have a couple of cases of this. Serving type: bottle 08-05-2012

A nice Kriek. Not particularly dry, the cherry is both sweet and funky. Bought this at the bier station in KC.

Bouteille 375ml.

Dark ruby body with pink head. Raspberry, light funk, decent aroma. Taste is the prime player though with balanced quality cherry and raspberry tastes, a moderate and very much pleasant sourness, good malt backup. Excellent. Also for those stepping from sweet krieks to sour ones. Very good body too. Excellent brew. (375ml bottle from Bierparadijs)

Possibly my new favorite, and partly due to the insane, almost painful carbonation. I just love the carbonation. Plus it’s delicious, dry, refreshing and looks really red. It’s awesome.

Eulogy, Philly bottle ($10): Pours red body with a reddish pink head. Aroma is tart cherries, vinegar, and funk. Taste is not so much sour as it is tart, but still it bites the tongue a little, which is compounded by the high amount of carbonation, which probably adds to the tart mouthfeel. There is basically no sweetness to this beer. Good amount of complexity. A definite sipper, but a pleasant one at that.

Bottle Poured into a snifter. Dark wine red with a huge pink head. Smells immensely tart with cherries. Dark cherry skin, pie. Don’t know how else to use cherry. A bit metallic. Taste is super tart and sour with some straw and a bit dry and bitter. Smooth and classy

pink-red head that doesn’t disappear completely (see carbonation later) without lacing. dark cherry-red clear colour. aroma of wheat, sour cherry, (normal) cherry, some almonds (from the cherry stones?), a hint of barnyard funk/wet dog. tastes of red fruit, cherry, raspberry not very sour, well balanced with a light bitterness and a long dry fruity sour aftertaste. medium body, dry mouthfeel, but - and this is my biggest ’dislike’ - a massive almost unpleasant carbonation. bottle 37.5 cl / best before 12-07-2032

Bottle. Number 1400. A strong smell of cherries, some sulphur, quite fruity. The body is pale red, the small pink head has a long duration. It tasted of cherries, quite sweet. The body is light to medium strong, dry with a normal carbonation.
