A deep cherry red almost purple pour. An aroma of just pure hard cherries. Very dry sour hard cherry flavor with a super sour finish with almost no sweet. Carbonation is a litte aggressive for me. Very fine offering.

Bottles shared with Axilla. This rating is based on the Oud Beersel with the oval label. We also tried the Oud Beersel Kriek with a newer looking label, but it was not nearly as good. This one was just way too sweet and didn’t bring the funk. The one with the oval label poured deep red with a thin pinkish head. The pour contained some yeast chunks, or possibly some cherry bits. Aroma was very yeasty, barnyard, funk; love at first sniff. Taste was very tart with a nice underlying cherry tone. Body was nice, with a semi dry finish. Outstanding.

Mmmm. I lovre that sour, barnyard aroma. Some serious funk in there, but with a great sour cherry backbone. Really dry, and a bit light in the mouthfeel, but with champane like effervescence. Not as good as Boon Kriek.

0.375 l bottle. Hazy deep red color with pink long lasting head. Sweetish, acidic, cherryish and candyish aroma. Acidic and strongly cherryish flavor with notes of candy, strawberry and grapefruit. Strong carbonation.

A nice lambic, but it strikes me as being somewhat overrated, based on my tasting. Flavor was a little too thin, and the nose a bit too funky to earn top marks. Appearance was nice, though.

Bottle. Best before 2022. Thanks to Santa. Poured a medium red/orange body with no head. aroma is horseblanket, light fruit. The sourness and funk were really alive but had such a short sensation on my palate. Light cherry taste. I need to try this one again.

Pours a bright red with pink head. Strong tart cherries. Hints of bread and funk. Dominated by sweet cherries and some oak. Still a little to sweet for my taste.
