Aug 2, 2007 Bottle. Murky red body with a dark pink head. (3+) Funky aroma has lots of cherry below. (7+) The flavour has only moderate sourness, which is a bit of a surprise after the aroma, and is dominated by cherries and very light yeasty funk. Average palate. A pleasant, relatively accessible lambic.

Jul 28, 2007 Caged and corked 375ml ?Bottle Pours out gently but with a huge bright pink hea that nearly filled the flute. Deep ruby color with lots of rising sparklies. Big time tart musty aroma. Sour cherries and funky with some faint vanilla. Very dry sour flavor. Not so much of the funky Lambic yeast as the aroma suggested but balanced in that way nicely. These things attenuate so far it is hard to tell the original fruit flavor. Dusty dry and earthen. Late lingering chery flavor. Dry, tart and crisp. I love this stuff, but I think that more that 12oz or so would burn out my toungue.

Jul 27, 2007 Nice crisp sour aroma, with just a touch of cherry as it warms up. I’m still slightly disturbed by the color of it. It pours red with a big fluffy pink head. Very acidic/tart flavor, with just hints of cherries hiding amongst it. Long sour finish, and very light on the palate. Overall, much better then I expected, but I’ll grab a guezue over this any day.

Jul 24, 2007 Updated: Aug 5, 2007Deep red pour. small to medium and lasting head. Aroma is sour, a lot of wood and brett, subtle cherry. Acidic, cherry flavor. Dry. Sharp carbonation. Sour, but mildly. Still a bit shocking at first, since I haven’t had a sour brew in some time, and I’ve only had a few so far. Got used to it in a few sips. Nice beer.

Jul 17, 2007 Bottle. Huge creamy red head that had a very long lasting. Good display of lacework. Hazy red color. Aroma of grape, apple, dusty notes, vinegar and light sulfur notes as well. Medium bodied with a sticky dry texture and a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet and sour flavor. Sour fruity finish. Very nice Kriek.
