Bottle from Ledgers; Best before 3/12/2023; Guess this must age well! Nose with start cerry and medium tartness, a little barnyard; Medium oink head over a strawberry jam colored body; Flavor with sharp acidity tapering into cherries then into a mild tart finish. Very good lambic!

Aroma of sour cherry, and perhaps tannin. Rich hazy, ruby color. White head that does not persist strongly, but laces a bit. Starts tart, followed by sour cherry. The mouthfeel is substantial. The finish is puckeringly astringent. The carbonation is "fine", as expected from live ale. Amazing stuff. Overall, the components seem well balanced.

Bottle: Poured a deep pink color lambic with a nice foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of sour cherry, oak and tart is well balance. Taste is a well balance mix between some sour cherry, oak and tart with some well balance level of acidity and sweetness. This was a very refreshing beer after a long cross-country ski outing. Definitely one of the most well balance fruit lambic I’ve tried.

375ml. Thanks, Luiss, even though I can get this here! Great big floral blossom red with pink frothy bubbles towering over the top. On top of them is a humongous tart cherry funky nose--you know this beer’s going to be super tart, even your pleasant expectations of maybe being surprised by the brewer’s art don’t hold up here. Tart is the name of the game as soon as the cork comes out. It’s puckery red fruit in a huge way atop a pleasant medium body with tingly active carb. You get white sugar, fruit sugar, and that tangy citric bite that only wild yeast can give, if that makes sense. THis is a fun beer to drink but I don’t know what I’d serve it with, if anything, and it’s not a real treat to drink by itself. Something of a novelty, even though it’s been around as long as any other style--ultimately, the main thing is that this much sugar and tartness is just not refreshing, and you look for some refreshment from a beer.
