| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jan 2, 2007 75 cl bottle. Deep cherry-red color nice head: compact, and strawberry ice-cream color. As for the aroma,a classic kriek nose of almonds, and of course cherry, feels very natural. Flavor is at first dry, then sour a very satisfiyng finish. It’s well balanced? As for the palate, round and full. I want more!
A very; very good kriekbeer ! porterhouse (1152), Alna, Maine, USA

Some initial effervescence. Aroma is sour cherry and funk. Mouthfeel is soft, light and fizzy (i.e., soft fizziness). Some rings of lacing. Flavor is sourish cherry and cheesy funk, maybe sweetens a little as it warms. Didn’t really care for flavor of this, although flavor is kind of weak. Tastes kind of "old". Hard to rate. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Bottle courtesy of willblake, thanks again! Ruby red pour with a pinkish, fizzy head. Aroma of barnyard funk, sour cherry and some other fruitiness. Flavor of sour, some funk, yest and some cherry as well. Lively carbonation with sort of a juicy mouthfeel that finishes pretty dry. Not bad, even though I’m not big on funk. sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Flavor, tart and sour cherries up front. The sourness on this was a lot sharper than I usually like. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Pours a deep cloudy rouge with a lovely and surprisingly, lasting pink/purple head. Aroma is ripe cherries, very little funk, a quick tart acidity and an almond note. The body is unique in it’s fullness although the overall affect is dry and highly carbonated. The flavor is incredibly full of the ripe cherries. Tons of them, some vanilla and almond, and a big wallop of acidity, though it is well-balanced. An excellent example of the style. Just excellent.
