Gorgeous appearance, as is typical of Belgian kriek lambics. Dark ruby body with a thick, creamy lavender cap. The aroma is musty funk and cherry. The flavor is a showcase for the cherries, with additional notes of earth, nuts, cherry pit, hay, wet basement. This is a particularly good bottle of this beer. A fairly common bottle as far as lambics are concerned. I should keep this in stock. Recommended.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark red color with a bright pink head that leaves frothy lacing. Aroma is cherries and tart fruit sweetness. Flavor is moderate sweet, dry grassy fruitiness, with sour tart cherries and hint of vanilla. Oily mouthfeel and sparkling carbonation. Quenching, dry finish.

750ml green bottle with cork and cage. Hazy pour, holds a small pinkish head on a red body. Nose has sharp cherries, wet wood. Taste is oaky, sharp sour cherries, vinegar. Very woody finish, dry. Decent carbonation. Overall, a good kriek.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Bright pink colour with a strongly pink-tinged head. Looks splendid. A very refreshing kriek. Not the strongest cherry flavours, there somewhere in the middle, but more sourness. Medium level of austerity and dryness (for a lambic!) All in pretty good stuff.

0.375l corked bottle. This is how a Kriek should look. An amazing pink purple big fluffy head quickly rises on top of a blood red deep light cloudy body. As good as they can look IMO. A nice fruity cherry nose, lots of small bretty and acidic clues on the one on how this is going too taste. Sipping on the foam I get some childhood memories of sour red currant juice. Lovely flavorful with a dry grassy fruitiness, loaded with sour tart cherries and a little bit of vanilla. It has a light oily mouthfeel and a above average almost high carbonation level. Super refreshing, fantastic with food. It’s not all sour, there is also a nice sweetness balancing this one. A little bit of hay in the finish and my lips lingers with her the taste of fresh lime. Not regretting buying a couple of bottles of this one. 26.10.2013

375 mL bottle supplied by WillRunForBeer. Many thanks! To Chimay goblet, it pours a reddish light pink with a pinkish-ringed head 1 finger in length. Aromas of crushed aspirin, frozen raspberry, blueberries, and mold. Tastes the same with the addition of wet grass, sweat, and Bible paper. Fun, fun, fun! Colorful, fruity, and invigorating. I like.

Bottle. Pours purple red with a big pink head. Aroma is sour cherries and green vegetables, with a touch of yogurt funk. Flavor is dry cherry with some oak in the finish. Carbonation is a touch too prickly.

Very good kriek, fresh and intense fruity. I'd drink gallons of this one. Sourness well covered by fruit, very drinkable.
