My new second favorite beer brewed with cherries, right behind NG Belgian Red. Depth of flavor that so many other beer with fruit in them miss. Hints of lemon zest, hay, horseblanket, and metal. Cherries are multi-dimensional rolling around in your mouth. Very, very nice.

Pours a hazy cherry wood color with a huge fluffy light pink head. Lots o’ lace. Smells funky, of brett and of sour cherry. Taste....I will not do this one justice but here it goes. Sour and funky. That barnyard brett flavor is front and center. Sour cherry. there really isn’t any fruity sweetness here, about the closest you get is tart. Lightly metallic and earthy. Mouth seems to be a bit thin at first but it’s jsut really crisp and dry. Cuts in and cuts out, leaving your palette with the memory and a sweetart aftertaste. Nice understated pucker factor in this brew. Not a chugger but not a sipper either. Has a champagney body. Really nice, the best kriek lambic I have had so far.

Reddish colour with a small pink head. Sour fruity aroma. Fruity and light sour flavor with yeasty notes.

Red colour with a pink head. Dry cherrie cranberry aroma and a dry acid cherrie taste. Medium body and a sweet dry finish.

Bouteille Spirit Haus, Amherst, Mai 2005.
