Crazy sour vinegar nose, smells like a stale musty barnyard with a hint of sour cherries. Pours a deep burgundy/brick red hue and makes a fizzy pink head. Flavor is vinegary, hint of sour cherries, tastes very much like a sour red wine... very tart and astringent, hint of cranberry. Light on the palate, coats the mouth very thin and finishes quite dry. Nice quality lambic, moderately complex, enjoyed this one.

Bottle. I don’t know what to think about this beer. Really love sour beer, like Rodenbach Grand Cru, really love kriek beer. But this one wasn’t what I expected : think of it as a sour bier, but with unsweetened kriek. I think I love it (even though I love both style separately)

Bottle at home. Pours deep pinkish red. Nose is cherry, wood, funk, tart. Taste is wood and sour cherries, vinous tart finish with tannins.

From a bottle into a Rodenbach Grand Cru glass. Pours a murky cherry red with pink-red head and minimum lace. Aroma of fermented dark cherry juice. Big carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of a tart cherry soda with slight alcohol, grains and old hops. Overall rich and tart but not mouth puckering or as difficult to enjoy as many sours. I’ll admit...I used to represent this brewery in California and have seen the label and perhaps the taste change over time, but as a cherry lambic this stands tall as drinkable alone or with food, fresh or aged. She’s a beauty!

0,375L bottle, BB 2035 (from Koht). Pours red with pink head. The head stays. Aroma is fruity, sour, cherries, some funk and some sweetness. Flavor is sour, cherries, acidic, some black currant, acidic. Finish is sour and acidic with some dry bitterness. Carbonation is rather high. Drinkability is ok. Overall: good, but feels bit simple.
