Sour, with a small amount of remaining sweetness. Cherry, ineapple and citrus flavors in a truly traditional lambic, whose loss has to be mourned by every beer lover.
2007 version, tasted in feb 2009. Clear ruby red color. Cherry, cherry pits and a hint of marzipan in the aroma. Thin but sour. Cherry restricted to the background in the flavor. Bone dry with vinous notes, marzipan, oak and lemon. Could be bether, though worthy of the name Oud Beersel 8 4 8 3 15 = 3.8 sethdude (611), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is fruity, slight barnyard, and caramel. Flavor is initially lightly malty, giving way to the sourness, cherries, the barnyard, straw, earthy flavors, and a lemony finish. Complex and satisfying. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 20, 2004 Bottled: Light red coloured. White medium head with a red gleam. Earth, fruit, balanced sourness in the aroma. Fantastic. Very refreshing and cleansing flavour. Earth, cherries and again this fresh sourness thats perfectly balanced by some fruitsweetness. Has a acidic and dry aftertaste, that makes the palate ready for new adventures. Thanks to Martin and Jacob for sharing. Hopistotle420 (1178), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA

Hazy watermelon pink-red hue. Big light pink head. Big funky nose, leather, wood. Super tart. Very smooth, lots of carbonation. Cherries are in there, and are oh so subtle. Very well rounded and balanced: very tart, yet enough sweetness to make it delicious. Alcohol is nice. Woody oak notes, nice and acidic, venegar, light champagne hints. Very nice, Im ever-impressed when trying these lambics for the first time...this stuff rocks. Do they keg this stuff? They must... skortila (2915), Bunnik, Netherlands

Lots of bubbly carbonation. Nice mild sweet cherry nose. Sour and tart cherry, and also some wood on the tongue. Very well-ballanced. Very dry finish. A great lambic. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 21, 2004 Nice murky red color with slight white head. Aroma mostly of lambic, must, with cherry overtones. Dominating tartness in this one, fresh cherries, soft carbonation makes it very drinkable despite being so tart. Not much sweetness in this one (a good thing for me).
